I wrote SLED an e-mail about a month ago letting them know we know they are corrupt af. I wish everyone here would email these corrupt pieces of trash to let them know that our eyes are upon them. Evil wins when good men and women do nothing. Thank you again Jody. You are a national treasure.

you cannot be serious. writing an email is not "doing something." especially not to the organization in question. if it's not an intern who has to read it, it will get ignored, and your address added to their spam filter. if it is an intern, what are they going to do? if you want to write a letter, and it count as "doing something," you need to be emailing the feds. and not just words, you need to be providing some sort of evidence. and yes, it has to be the feds, because this case and others have clearly shown that our governor is cronies with the SLED chief, and letters to him will fall on as deaf of ears as if you emailed SLED itself. the more important thing to do is stop voting these same corrupt officials into office election after election. if you see they are running unopposed, as often is the case in smaller and rural districts, then run against them yourself. i know this is SC, and it's pissing into the wind to expect you to vote D, but you're only going to get more of the same from mcmaster and his ilk. at least try to primary the guy out.

Look at what the FEDs are doing all over the cou try right now. They are rotting from head too. What makes you think they would want to come a f around in SC's dirty business? No one is coming to save us. Start looking at what YOU can do to protect yourself from corruption. Look within your own group of those you can TRUST. If I’m not mistaken the two women openly admitted to the crime on the video. Taking things out of the home definitely looks bad but you still need to prove intent. I know the deceased was in business with at least one of the men so he can always say he just took what belonged to him. The computer files did show he owned 12 of the gps trackers. Problem is he took everything in a box so he most likely took plenty of items that didn’t belong to him.

First, this was great journalism. I've followed this since your first reports. Props to station mgmnt, too, for not bowing to pressure. The caregiver is terrific. Now let's try to imagine what the charges would be if Tammy and Charlotte were women of color. (Am being a bit facetious. I'm an old white chick from Montgomery and already know the answer.) Hoping the family gets justice and that the 'gentleman' with Green and Bullock gets charged as well.

What took so long

When a cop, judge, or other public official is accused of a crime there's a long, multi-year investigation, it's decided if they're going to prosecute, and THEN the people are arrested. When a member of the public is accused of a crime we're arrested FIRST, THEN they have the investigation. Of course they'll say "we can't arrest officials BEFORE we have an investigation, that would violate their rights." But violating a citizen's rights by arresting them FIRST, that's just standard procedure.
