    What should I do if I have leggy succulent? It is in a mixed variety container that I rescued from a big box store.

  • @SucculentFame
    @SucculentFameКүн бұрын

    Hi Amanda, you will have to cut it and replant it. Unfortunately, once it’s leggy, it’s irreversible. Cutting it is the only workaround. The good news about it is that the stump will grow new buds. The cut part can be replanted and it will become a separate plant. Thank you for the question. Wishing you more blessings, love and good health! 🙏❤️💫

    What kid of soil do you use

  • @SucculentFame
    @SucculentFame3 күн бұрын

    Hello Lisa, I started using regular garden soil instead of the fast draining mix that I have used in the past. They seem to like it better. In fact, if you dont have access to regular soil that you would find in backyards, I suggest non-fast draining mixes now. So just the regular potting soil mixes. I explained why in my latest video. Thank you for the comment. Wishing you more blessings, love and good health! 🙏❤️💫

    Thank you very much for this episode! My wife recently passed and now it is my turn to take care of the succulents that our daughter gave her. I had no idea how to water them until I watched this. They have been shriveling up although still alive. I did not know if I was giving them too much water or not enough. Now I know what needs to be done.

    Hi Sheila 🥰 Pardon my absence. So much has been going on, as summertime does for me. I'm also into taking care of all my landscaped areas, plus I have my "bird sanctuary" landscaped for my songbirds that I provided for, starting 5 yrs ago. It's lovely, and Yes, giving back to whom provided All of This for us to See, Feel and Love ❤ AMEN! Thank you on your succulent expertise, and love your sharing the beauty you see! 🙌 I've been to many Botanical Gardens but will suggest Lincoln Park Conservatory here in Chicago, and Phipps Conservative and botanical gardens in Pittsburgh PA. Truly lovely. Look them up, to see! 🙏🌿💚 Lucky we are. Aren't the Hummingbirds such a tiny beautiful & colorful Gem, that he's blessed us with too!?! Love love love. Take care 🤗

    Kubota Garden in Seattle, Washington is beautiful during golden hour! I had the pleasure of going there in late March, right when everything started blooming. I don’t know the names of many, but Portland, Oregon has some beautiful gardens as well. I believe the most popular one (for very good reason, it’s gorgeous!) is the Portland Japanese Garden. Definitely check out the others too though! The rose test gardens look beautiful just from pictures (I did a quick google maps search to find the name of the one I mentioned before). I don’t think I’ve been to more than just the Japanese Garden in PDX, but they all look gorgeous in pictures

    I would like to ask you what is this succulent ? and is it a succulent? I have never seen these before in a store or even in another video of succulents, but I replanted them as I would do any succulent, but if this is not, can you tell me the name of this is? My husband bought it at a garage sale for me….. It had mostly rocks in the bottom, but when I pulled away the rocks there were so many babies. I couldn’t believe it so I replanted them. I hope I did the right thing !!! Thank you Debbie no

    Thanka for the video! I just bought a split rock that had already bloomed and has the stalk left. Should i cut that or just leave it to wither? I watered it the second day i got it. I was a little worried but i know they just sit there in the stores unattended and needy. Im just impatiently counting the days till i can repot it! I figure I'll give it a couple weeks to recover from moving, blooming, watering.

  • @SucculentFame
    @SucculentFame2 ай бұрын

    Hello! Congratulations on having flowers on your split rock. Just let the stalk wither. I normally just leave mine until it’s very withered. Withered and dried stalks are easier to pluck. There shouldn’t be any resistance at all. Thank you for the comment. Wishing you more blessings, love and good health! 🙏❤️💫

    My succulent plants leaves are falling what can I do ?

  • @SucculentFame
    @SucculentFame2 ай бұрын

    Hi! Are they indoors or outside? If you suspect that they might have been overwatered, I suggest that you dig it out and let the roots dry out for a day or two before replanting it. If it was underwatered, just make sure that the soil is very wet and it will rebound. Please check underneath your soil. If your soil around the root area is wet, it’s likely that your succulent is suffering from overwatering. Let me know once you’re done checking. Thank you for the comment. Wishing you more blessings, love and good health! 🙏❤️💫

    If you can get rain water consistently where you live: Cool. I find a much more easier way is to treat your tap water like you would your fish tank water. A bottle of aquarium water treatment is cheap and will last you a very very long time. You only need to apply 0.5ml of it per 4L jug of water. That will remove the hard particles in your tap water and my plants love it. Just as good as rain water I'd say.
