Really glad you included the names. Last year I researched the succulents in my collection for the names and the place of origin so I could care for them better. After all that work I made a video called “Succulent Treasures” perhaps my identifications will help someone else. 🌿

Hi Karen, how do I cut split or torn leaves from my chick's and hens, blue ghost so I don't damage the plants? Are there any types of diy cleaners to eliminate mealy bugs and mildew? Hello! Unfortunately, sempervivums have leaves that are hardest to pluck that’s why I dont even want to suggest that you pluck them. Since their leaves are usually formed in a tight rosette, cutting them off might damage other leaves. I think it’s better to just leave the damaged leaves in place. As the rosettes grows, the damaged leaves will end up being in the periphery and will dry off. It will take time, depending on the location of the damaged leaf, but at least, you know that someday, those damaged leaves will dry up, too. As for mealy bugs, I think the safest to use, both for plants and humans, is still 70% alcohol. I’m not a plant expert though. I only share what has worked for me. I’m not aware that there are rocks and glass that can cause damage to them unless the material leeches some chemicals that manufacturers use, but so far, I haven’t heard that there is such a thing. I heard that there is an app that is able to identify plants. I haven’t tried it myself. I also have two succulent identification videos. They are still not enough though. Naming succulents will probably require hundreds and hundreds of videos. I’m so sorry that you didn’t find it here. Try searching through World of Succulents. That website has tons of succulents archived, too. I hope you’ll find it there. Thank you for sharing your comment. I really appreciate it. ❤️☺️🌈

I still can’t seem to figure out what type of succulent I have. Mines like small light blue green, with thin leaves. And they are pointy on each leave with very little orange

Hi Hugo, it was tagged as Echeveria ‘Green Rose’ by the Nursery. The tag could be incorrect. Could you be referring to the Aeonium aureum or the Green Rose Bud? 😃

If that Sanseveria Superba.. Then Whats Sanseveria Laurenti ?

Hello Marcia, there are multiple common names for each plant but only one scientific name. Like, the Dracaena trifasciata would have Snake Plant and Mother-in-Law Plant or Mother-in-Law’s Tongue as common names. A Euphorbia tirucalli would have Firestick, Pencil Cactus, Fire Plant, Fire Pencil Cactus, Sticks on Fire and probably so many more. That’s why providing the common name would not be a good idea. Sometimes the name of the plant depends on the country. People would name plants differently when it comes to common names. Thank you for the comment! Huge apologies for the late response. Aloe Vera can handle strong sun. They grow well under the sun in tropical countries eg. S.E.A.

One of my Aloe Veras loves being indoors with us. I have tried to put her outside, and she would turn bluish gray all the time. My other Aloe Veras are not like that. It is just this one Aloe Vera that enjoys being indoors so much. She turns green indoors and would look like she’s dying every time I would attempt to take her out. 😅😊 Thank you for the tip. I really appreciate it. ❤️☺️🌈
