2023 Super Bowl LVII should have the 49ers-chiefs rematch had your eagles not tore Brock Purdy's arm off. We would have had a better chance mainly due to 49ers defense coordinator DeMeco Ryans who at the time led the number 1 defense in the league vs steve wilks in his ineptitude brought it down to 12th best. With Nick Bosa arguably playing his best year, CMC dominating the field, an intact Brock Purdy and the team in high spirits and low injuries, we would have gone into state farm to face the chiefs in a better position then just this last year due to our defense playing lights out and our offence playing their usual best. The big question is would we have won? To this i say I don't know. I could just be a homer and say of course but this patrick mahomes we are talking about, he's damn great (that hurt to say). My best guess is that the game would have been close, damn close but the 49ers having far better defensive leadership and an offence with little injuries plus Robbie Gould being the solid post-season kicker he was, it likely comes down to a field goal but the 49ers get their revenge against the chiefs and win it; even if Kyle does some stupid shit (like he always does) our defense being in a far better position has a better chance of countering his mistakes.
