As a panthers fan I understand a lot of people didn’t watch the games but it wasn’t Bryce’s fault 90% of the time it’s like the bears last year he quite literally has about 2 seconds to throw and his receivers can’t get open at all making Bryce force bad throws which is why his stats are so bad

I was about to say, the F grade is pretty harsh. I guess the act of trading your best WR and your draft capital for a QB you can’t realistically field at that time is worthy of an F. But not because of Bryce’s talent.

The ominous thing for Young is that Carolina may not be able to rebuild in time. His confidence may get destroyed the same way David Carr's soul left his body in Houston. That was one of the most painful rookie QB seasons I can remember since Josh Rosen, perhaps.

Wife and I bought two bottles of Powers for the weekend so we can see who actually drinks all the whiskey.

I think Lukas Van Ness should get a little higher grade considering the Packers only played him on 33% of defensive snaps and he still made an impact play per game (10 QB hits, 4.0 sacks, 1 PDef, 8 TFL). He then went on to record 1.0 sack, 1 QB hit, and 1 TFL in two postseason games. He even chased down Justin Fields outside of the pocket to record a sack in Week One. I think a B- is more appropriate considering he had to be a rotational piece. Watching him play you can see he is gifted.

He is gonna be a stud. And like you said he didn't play that much. Coming into the draft he was looked at as a project to a certain extent. And with what we saw from him and at the end of the year, homeboy was all over the place all the while showing off his athleticism and speed. Give him an offseason and let's see what we see next year. And the way this dude said he had only 4 sacks, it was like he said it in a way like he should have had 12. Not bad for someone that played sparingly. I will take his play, especially at the end of the year for a "project". He didn't even start at Iowa in his last year there

If we're talking about the first half of the season, I agree with Cancey's "D" grade. If we're talking about the second half, I'd give him a "C" or "C+". Guy came on strong and had a great end of the year. Started the year injured and it took him a while to overcome. I think there is reason to he optimistic about Cancey's future in Tampa Bay.

I mean when you break down the rest of the offense, the performance becomes much more forgivable. It's never as easy as "oh if we drafted him instead things would be completely different" not matter how much people want to pretend it is.

@@unc54 definetly had a better season than he’s given credit for. Texans game, lions game was ok (little bit of garbage time stat padding but whatever) I understand that. I also understand to give people time and have a good system yada yada yada BUT looking at the facts he was not accurate (which was his number 1 trait) and while he made good decisions most of the time he failed to move the ball effectively about 75% of the time. Even when they had sustained drives they were 5-7 yards a play supplemented by penalties and freak mistakes by the defense that don’t happen 99% of the time. Not saying Bryce was the only issue, not saying he’s an F grade pick, not saying shoulda coulda woulda with CJ Stroud/not trading up, but objectively speaking he is not a good quarterback as of right now

As someone forced to watch a lot of Panthers games this year Bryce Young is literally working with nothing. A bad o-line, no run game, no receivers get open, and a bad defense. Young has no chance with what they gave up in the trade, coupled with bad contracts to Sanders and Thielan to hurt their cap space.

Dawson Knox went on injured reserve midseason and yes, he's the better TE bc he is a modern in-line 2 way catch and block TE. Kincaid is closer to a jumbo receiver like Darren Waller, which is a tough transition to make. The real question is if Kincaid can develop into a wr2.

I’m a chiefs fan and really can’t help but to say I dont think FAU was an F. He stepped up and got some snaps to fill in but he wasn’t really meant to be a starter this year. Filled it and got some good reps in and I’m excited to see his performance to continue to go up

If I’m not mistaken, kancey suffered multiple injuries throughout the season and missed a lot of it. He def looked better towards the end and will be good but his role in that defense is going to be questionable especially since the Bucs also hit on yaya diaby, though gholston leaving could help get reps
