At least 90% of religious symbolism is actually anti-Christian, not Christian fan service. These "religious symbolisms" are almost (if not always) not in line with the actual Christian religion, and really is just false propaganda in attempt to make Christianity look superstitious, silly, or even dangerous. Halo is one of these. Here are some things that most would mistake for being a parallel to the Christian God and worldview: The precursors created all existence - God created all existence (also goes hand-in-hand with the flood reference) In Halo, the precursors are mystic creatures that created all existence for the purpose of "harvesting" them in the form of the flood later on. The Christian God created all existence for his glory, and as His created, we owe him that glory. God did not flood the earth to "harvest" them for their life experience like the precursors from Halo, the earth was flooded because there was not a single person that hadn't strayed from God's way beyond human reasoning on earth other than Noah and his family. Fun fact, the rainbow is actually supposed to be a reminder that God promised never again to destroy the earth via flood. In the Halo universe, the Covenant coin the phrase "All who believe shall be saved" - in the real world, generally this phrase is used by Christians I don't know if anyone has noticed, but Christians aren't attempting to end the world. Also, clearly mentioned in Halo 3, the prophet of truth believes that firing the Halo will ascend all who believe into the form of gods. That's a Mormon belief, not a Christian belief. Another problem is how the Covenant is portrayed like a cult where the figures in power run the cult simply just for the power. This is nothing like Christianity, and I just don't understand why anyone would believe that it is. Anyway, my point is that before you make a statement on Christianity, or really any group of any kind for that matter, please actually take the time to come to a fully informed conclusion. One reason I think a lot of people think Halo's Covenant and Christians are a lot alike is because they have only seen people who claim to be Christians, but act nothing like it. A common reason for this is some people view Christians as self-righteous. If someone that claims to be a Christian is being self-righteous, that person is already acting in an ungodly manner. (edit): I kinda just realized it was unclear what I was calling an uninformed conclusion. I meant calling religious symbolism "Christian fan service" isn't even a remotely accurate conclusion. Although, there are lot of people that come to false conclusions about the Christian religion because of bad examples.

I just finished my first playthrough of Half-Life about a week ago (I loved it by the way!) and I was very much thinking of it as a puzzle, though I had no idea what it's tagline had been. Though, I did spend more time than I probably should have on 2 HP because I would forget about the tools at my disposal and my aim is not good (the snipers drove me crazy for a little while lol). I probably wasn't at all helped by the fact that I had just finished the first Quake right before I started Half-Life, but I sort of considered Quake to be more of solving a puzzle too, albeit with more trial and error. Also, for the black ops segment, I can say what was going through my head was "okay, if I can find them, I have a chance to- where did that damage come from?! Oh gosh there's another one! Wait which weapon should I be using? Probably not- oh there's another hit!"

Saying that you don't have free will, is more of a coping mechanism. Our choices do matter, even the tiniest things we've done can have a huge impact. If our fate is written on stone, try falling from a tall building, you wont have a chance to survive, but if you choose not to jump at all you will still be alive. Saying that we dont have free will, is like jumping with sharks and expecting to survive.
I just got to the 8 min spoiler warning and though I haven't watched 80% of the video yet, you already have me convinced to go buy this game for money as soon as I get my next welfare check ;_; I've tried it out on a torrented copy way back, but this feels too important for that

18:20 Does this apply to leg skin too? I tried shaving part of my leg once & the skin got quite irritated until the hair grew back, presumably because of rubbing against my jeans. Will this sort of thing decrease over time and is there anything I can do (in secret) to help that process along?

You can be pro gun and pro abortion and condemn illegal immigration while advocating for wealth distribution reform AND free markets. Every issue deserves to be considered individually. Your assumptions and preconceived ideas are your worst enemy. Approach every issue like it’s the first political issue you’ve ever considered.
King of the Hill holds a very special place in my heart. It helped me grow from a kid into a man. It helped me understand and process my childhood. It was a good friend on many a lonely night, when I had nobody and I lived in a seedy motel and worked at Red Lobster. Hank Hill is a genuine role model of mine. Sort of a father figure even. What I wish my father would have been. Truly one of the greatest television shows ever made. On the same level as Breaking Bad.

Sadly, probably because of only the 30 squares DX1's inventory, the game does not work if you have stuff like binoculars, cigarettes, flares... while in Bethesda games you can have thousands of useless scrolls and literal rubbish and their games still work.

I've been transitioning for 2 and a half years, and still learned a ton from this video. The big one is the voice section. Oddly enough, my youtube videos are a big part of how i practice my voice. Why my brain has the inherent masochism of broadcasting this process live to the world, I will never understand. Some part of it feels empowering to say f*ck it and do it in an environment that normally buries me with an algorithm.

I have worn "women's small" and "men's medium" sweatpants that fit perfectly...... I don't understand clothing. Lastly. THANK YOU. That part about getting HRT. I have been mentally screaming at myself for months about needing to get over it and get them, but then getting too overwhelmed and confused when looking into getting them, so I had no idea it was so easy. I've been trans curious for some time now, but today it's really hitting me hard. Last night I used a hairclip to hold back my hair while dealing with acne and something about it just felt nice. I brought the clip to school with me today thinking it would make for a good fidget toy (it does, legitimately might be my favorite thing to fidget with) but it's been making me ask a lot more questions about my gender identity.

I super appreciate that you fixed your lighting and color grading to match your background shots. It looks so seem less- people always forget to match those and it always looks so artificial but in some shots in your video it looks like you’re literally sitting in the game world irl it’s great
The broader video game essay algorithm is sleeping on this channel. No reason the average video here should have any less than 100,000 views. Generally speaking, when I find a smaller channel I really like it eventually blows up (e.g. Jacob Geller, NCG, warlockracy, etc - I got into all these channels just before they really started getting big) so I think my algorithm is tailored to the point that it’s a good predictor for KZread success- I think it’s only a matter of time that you blow up significantly in numbers. These vids have all the qualities of other channels that do well but your perspective is unique enough to make it not seem like just another VE channel
