I mean, you don’t leave the kid alone for a long time normally. So you just check in every now and then in the app and see if everything is okey. I don’t think background audio is to important tbh.

Nice review. I made a pull handle. Much better in soft or heavy conditions.

Guys, don't buy baby monitors as most of them are garbage. They stop working after a few months. The expensive ones might be good and packed with so many features that you will never need. All you need is to see your baby and listen if he or she is crying. I am using a pretty inexpensive security camera from amazon, which has been working awesome for more than a year. For the monitor I am using an old phone as the resolution is way better than the display monitors of leapfrog or other cameras.

This review is great! But I genuinely don't think you need to do dirty jokes when reviewing... baby gear... not sure how your reviews are these days but I hope that stopped 😅

This product is awful. Stay away! When the app works, it's terrible. Setting up schedules, etc is extremely clunky and time-consuming. Our app has stopped working altogether. You can't set up or change schedules anymore and some just disappeared after the last update. Great idea, but terrible quality, app design, and support.

Please take this video down as the miku pro is awful. The company was purchased, it is now a subscription for the advanced features. The monitor constantly disconnects from WiFi I will not trust this monitor whatsoever. I also purchased this monitor buy buy baby when they were closing so I have no way to return it. Biggest waste of money

The nest can be a good option as a baby monitor depending on 2 things… 1) layout of your home and therefore monitoring needs and 2) existing investment in the nest eco system. We had a vtech video monitor that bit the dust after 2 months. We already have one nest hub on our main floor so decided to give the nest cam a try since it’s way cheaper than a baby monitor and we only really used the camera/audio on our last monitor and none of the baby centered features. We don’t need a monitor at night because the door to our baby’s room is literally right next to ours so we can hear everything and before now he was sleeping in our room. The nest cam has been working perfectly for us and even with buying an extra google hub for our family room is half the cost of nanit, plus we get monitoring screens outside of our phones.

Wow, someone who makes part of his living off affiliate links/codes does not recommend using the Nest. Shocker. TBH having a separate dedicated audio monitor is leaps and bounds better than relying on your phone and super underrated

My wife and I used the Snuza HeroMD and I'd recommend it to anyone. It notifies you after 10 seconds of no detection and gives off a slight green light each time it detects breath. My wife is a nurse and was spending her nights constantly waking up and checking the baby was breathing. With the monitor she could just look over and see the green light and knew it was ok. For the peace of mind it gave her, I'd say it was essential.

We bought this camera because they didn’t not require a subscription to use their breathing monitor, however the company was recently sold and are not requiring a $10 months subscription on top over the very pricey product. Now it is as if we bought a $400 camera and cannot use any of the features we paid for when we bought it.

you might want to change your stance on recommending the Miku Pro, They are actually going to charge everyone a subscription fee if you want to continue using al of its features that you paid $400 for, such as live breathing.
