Love your channel John, as a soon to be father for the first time these videos help me surface and deal with some anxieties that I didn't even know I had yet. The great mystery of what life is about to be like is way more palatable with general and supportive videos like this. Keep up the good work!
Wife had minor issues 6 weeks before due date... ended up having emergency csection....prep way before you need to! Also... amazing tips and very accurate!

Thanks for the kind words! All the best with your new little one!
One tip I would add would be to prep your bag(s) for the hospital at least a month in advance, including who can help watch your dogs or other child while in labor/hospital. The due date is not THE date and if your wife could go into labor at 36 weeks like mine has with both our girls

Great tip! Thanks for sharing.
I wasn’t just exhausted, I was vomiting uncontrollably and they needed to medicate me so I could stop vomiting over my new baby. Paul was on his own for the next few hours as that medication put me out for a few hours and we didn’t plan on this.
What if I'm pro-patriarchy?

Yeah that was such a weird thing to put on a video like this. I guess it was a humor attempt, completely unnecessary but oh well.
