Lovevery Play Kits are Montessori-inspired subscription boxes that contain toys designed to facilitate play-based learning, plus instruction manuals for parents on how to use them. Lovevery has long made these kits for ages 0-2, more recently they added kits for 3 year olds: The Observer, The Storyteller, The Problem Solver, and The Analyst. They're shipped every 3 months for $120, including free shipping.
Which isn't cheap. So, is Lovevery worth it? We explore in detail in this video-what's in the box, how is it supposed to work, does it actually work, and how does an actual 4 year old like it?

I want to share a small bit of my experience with the Lovevery kits. We’ve gotten the kits since my daughter was just a couple months old, so every kit up to The Enthusiast (28,29,30 months). To be honest, my MIL purchases these kits as a compromise for her to not buy a lot of toys for my daughter (her love language is gift giving and I’m an almost-minimalist). We very rarely buy any other sort of toys, definitely nothing electronic. Anything we do add to my daughter’s play collection is very intentional. That being said, I have loved almost everything up to the latest kit. It could definitely use some improvements, which I know Lovevery does choose to do based on feedback. I’ve chosen to hold back on a couple of items through the years that I didn’t want to deal with, but overall most everything was appropriate (for example, baby credit cards 🙄). I love the quality of the items and the intentionality. I have found that the later kits do require more parental involvement. I think we see that as inconvenient because we’re so used to society pushing gaming/tv/electronics on children. The pricing does seem high…until you break it down by month. $120 for a kit designed for three months isn’t quite as bad. I’m certain I would spend that amount or more if I were to assemble the items myself. And I would definitely spend more than $40 a month on toys if I didn’t mainly rely on these kits to supply my daughter’s toy shelf. One last thing, while that toy shelf is INSANELY priced, I think part of the price is due to it having a large storage compartment in the back. Anyhow, that’s my two cents on the Lovevery kits. 🤪

If you count these as toys for your dog and child it becomes cheaper…. They both end up playing with them in my experience. Moment of silence for the felt balls and stacking cups.
