Raseeah didn't need a reason to lie. She lied about the police when there was no need to do so. So stop pressing Pritam Singh for a reason why a liar should lie. Raseeah could have lied to "improve" her narrative.

This is exactly why we need to find out the reason why she is lying, if we can prove that she is lying to improve her narrative, shift the blame or to drag others down, then it will clear Pritam's name. This is why we even have investigation process in the first place, to cross examine, to fact find. This is a good chance for Pritam to share his side of the story.

We are dealing with A Liar who continued to lie again in October 3 when it is clearly stated to her that she needs to come clean. She is just scared shit of the aftermath of her own doing. It is a simple Fight or Flight respond. In the beginning the issue was in the hands of Mr Pritam Singh n Mr Manap. Silvia Lim came into the scene on October 8/12 after Ms Khan lied again on Oct 3. Misery loves Company. Having Ms Loh n Mr Nathan on her side is her shield 🛡 that brought harm to a political party which is gaining trust with People n Serving Our Interest not Foreigners which is the Policy of the Ruling Party. This is bigger than just Ms Khan lie. This will make or break the future of a bunch of Losers in the Ruling Party.

Using the words of their own against WP is how they not get their hands dirty. Yet the COP did not put into consideration how that Evidence aka Transcript was obtained. They use 2 inexperience women in politics to do their bidding. Nice play 👏👏👏 COP. Their manipulative n unscrupulous ways will come back n bite them in the ass. They are looking for words not facts to do their job. Facts is far important in a hearing than just Play on Words. That is the Politicians in them. Having been beaten by Covid every steps of the way Never Taught Them anything. Control is an Illusion.

Edwin simply twisting and repeating, Pritam is good

As a member of the Committee one should be impartial throughout the investigation, stay objective and make substantiated inference. Trying to corner Mr Pritam SIngh without objective evidence makes the COP looks real bad. it is undeniable Ms Khan made a series of mistakes lying again and again. It already look bad on the leadership of WP, however trying to sling mud at the CEC of WP is pretty low. And moreover Mr Edwin Tong tonality and choice of words suggests biasness against Mr Pritam.

The committee and its members have a role to play and that is to investigate. Investigators have to dig and poke to find out the truth as most people will not volunteer to tell the truth at first run. You can see in a few instances only after much pushing then some additional truth comes out. If the COP play nice, some Singaporeans too will say they failed in their jobs. This is an investigation not nice nice chit chat. Cannot please everyone. Everyone has his or her own perception and opinion.

I am a PAP supporter but I am very sad that they chose to try to bring down the Worker Party through Raeesah' s lie. Every educated individual would know that Edwin Tong's line of questioning is overbearing and attempting to force Pritam to admit to wrongdoings through silly assumptions. It went on for so long and it is very painful to watch. PAP should stop doing such things as I am sure it is putting off a lot of educated voters. You just need to establish the facts and come out with a report on how the Worker Party Central Committee could have handle it better. That's all. Now this circus show is circulating on social media and it reflects very badly on PAP trying to pin blame on Pritam while there is no significant evidence. My sympathy lies with Pritam Singh.

You really think PAP wanted to bring down WP? Do you know why Sengkang east always vote against PAP? The food stall rental is at least $8000 versus $600 to $1200 in AMK and Bedok etc.. There is coffee shop here but less than 5 table outdoor while the rest are benches. It is totally different in Sengkang west under PM LHL. Sengkang east GRC is meant to be given to opposition forever so that the high food prices and lack of proper amenities will depress the resale price to warn the rest not to follow Sengkang footstep. The snub from democracy summit is a startling reminder that Even with almost 10 opposition members Singapore is still not recognised as democracy by western standard. It is a delicate balancing act for PAP to increase the opposition seat while maintaining majority to improve Singapore international image as well as his own to leave a legacy in history.

@@gala1684 yes you are right talking about lofty idealism but come and experience the long queue and rude staff while paying food court price but low quality food everyday while having not enough tables and seat even in non peak hour and it will drive you crazy and will drive to amk Ave 10 instead for decent meal but pay more fuel cost and time wasted and even the ardent supporter of PAP would revolt. During GCT era is hdb upgrading that benefited the mature estate and now PAP depended on daily food prices to win high vote for high profile ministers in mature estate while the residents of sengkang are made to subsidize the rest of the country.

Regards to that RK confessed that she has a psychological condition during the DP, it is either she lied or it is really the truth. If she had lied, means she did another grave mistake again. If her condition is true, why is this conveniently ignored? This fact could be so crucial to the proceeding! Hello, die hard PAP supporters ! This is what you voted for!

If they cannot, they will be complicit in her lying to parliament. So it’s every man for himself now. If they can make her out to be a nut case or habitual liar, they might be able to discredit what she said about them telling her to stick to her lie. But even so, how do they explain keeping quiet about her lie for 3 months? Hard to wiggle out of that one.

Facts: PS is a lawyer, Slyvia is lawyer plus ex police officer, law lecturer, Faisal has been MP for Aljunied GRC since 2011. None of them known to lie before this episode plus "common sense" will tell you these WP leaders will recognise the consequences for telling her to cover up a lie with more lies. If you are referring to Faizal Manap, then I will agree with you. The interview was awful and was a simple question but he don't want or insist to reply. Maybe he just want to give a hard time for PAP. From this whole saga, you can see the PAP clearly waste a lot of time in doing this. The person lied and resigned and jwe have to move on from there. This investigation is targetted to know more about WP internal discussion and thought process. In summary, the PAP has created a circus and all of the clowns are up there questioning things that has no added value.

Waste of taxpayer money again on poor entertainment. If there is enough proof to indict PS, the parliament would have done so. These sessions are as I observed, an exchange of 'I say' vs 'what did you say'. RK is a self professed liar and has lost all credibility. Case closed.

Actually there's no need for all of this.

E Tong, you asked a hypothetical question like "Why do you think S Khan lied? May I ask you E Tong, "Why did S Khan lied?" E Tong you are an embarrassment to Singaporeans

What is Edwin Tong's body of work ? First, Edwin Tong represented City Harvest's key persons who got off very lightly over huge sums (millions) misappropriated. Second, Edwin Tong is attempting to rely on Raeesah's rendition even though she had been found to have lied to the police & what makes Edwin Tong think Raeesah wont lie again? The way Edwin Tong badgered Pritam is mind boggling. Shouldnt Raeesah send her allegation to Pritam & give Pritam a chance to confirm or refute it?

Hey Edwin Tong, perhaps it was slow brain day for you; we all have this some days, don’t worry and don’t feel bad. But in case you never recover from it, speculating why she may have lied is, by far, a really dumb thing to do. There may be no good reason at all such as, you letting out a fart at 6:15pm this evening instead of at 6:10pm when no one is around. There could also be many and multiple reasons. Or, and get this, she may not even know why she lied. Pritam telling you to have her undergo a psychiatric evaluation is simply one way of telling you, hey, this is one explanation we could feasibly explore instead of sitting here speculating and gossiping like two old grannies with nothing better to do. There's no way Mr Tong asked that question why RK would still lie even with his senior members, it is because she probably had to lie to protect herselves from potential scoldings and to stay in the party. Its like a friend of me who asked me to lend him a sum of money to do investment ended up getting scammed. He first told me that he got scammed of $2000 and needed time to repay. Caught his lie after a few days when one of his friends complained. In actuality, he was scammed $10000. As friends and I already know he lied, he still lie in our conversation about the sum. All I can think is because he dont want me to judge him or scold him for what he did. It could be a similar reasoning to RK

really like pritam singh here in this. here is a great example where there is already a narrative formed in edwin tong’s mind about this situation. i think it is really rude for edwin tong to reject the suggestion of psychiatric assessment of raeesah immediately, without giving much consideration. and how could he ask such a question, where he seeks an answer on the mindset of raeesah during those times, to pritam? how would he have known? even if pritam gave an answer to edwin, it would be deemed inaccurate as raeesah herself didn’t mention it. but i’d assume edwin will accept the answer anyway as it would have fit nicely in the narrative formed in his head.

To be fair, Pritam has no authority or right to ask for a psychiatric assessment of Raeesah. Imagine if Raessah ask for a psychiatric assessment of Pritam, that makes no sense right? The role of the committee is to hear the story from both sides and cross examine them not take sides, they have to assume both sides are trying their best to fight for their own benefits and they have to question them hard to find loopholes in their story.

Firstly where is a neutral party to clarify about in this case.. How can it be fair

Ms Khan had took the ownership and move on by resigning. The intention for the committee thereafter clearly trying to seek the truth whether the opposition party and members are aware and supporting the anecdote. My honest opinion is that WP actually knows that if announce earlier is a lie, their party also will be whacked so they might as well gambled on a chance. A chance no one will pursue. If the previous WP leader still in charge, I have feeling, Khan sure admit the lie immediately and not wait till the last minute. All I can say is a bad gamble. PS: Never think that the parliament is like Twitter where you can talk shit and no need to prove anything. I hope the future of our MPs, especially those young MPs do not act like a pair of “skinny jeans”, trending yes but functions like crap.

Frankly my respect for Pritam Singh has grown over the years. Pritam has handled it well. I absolutely felt disgusted by how Edwin Tong trying to behave in such an elitist and authorative manner with no respect for others and with such low EQ. Edwin Tong is telling the whole world that he is just trying to get Mr. Singh to admit to everything he put up. Is this the way a lawyer ways of forcefully trying to put words into a defendence mouth and get him to admit to it. These is rather absurb. This world is getting crazy.

ET claimed at the start of the session, he asked PS on his view whether there was anything unusual/untoward on her performance as MP. PS said nothing out of ordinary. One can suffer from disassociation and still carry on functions of MP. What is ET asking listeners to infer when connected PS' disclosure of RK's disassociation problem with his answer on RK's normal MP performance? ET could have just asked outright whether PS have ever detected inconsistencies in RK's behavior, conversations etc in her interactions with him or other WP members before RK's disclosure of her disassociation problem on 29 Nov 21 to WP. Since now there is new info on RK psychiatric condition, why don't just proceed to have psychiatric examination of RK, the truth will be out sooner and no need to waste further time on inquiry? If indeed RK has this condition, it could explain all the inconsistencies in the hearings and RK's behavior.
