Edwin Tong is so unreasonable n unprofessional, he does not allow Pritam Singh to disturb his train of thought when Pritam needs to explain, but he can disturb the train of thought of Pritam Singh. Looks bad, Edwin, not scoring brownie point, you may do a disservice to PAP.

So... did anyone else in the parliment knew at that time that Vivian Balakrishnan has spoken an untruth regarding TraceTogether contact-tracing? Did they do anything? Did the leader of his party do anything? Was things grave for them?

In this hearing, Mr Edwin has set a unreasonable assumption that bringing a mobile to the hearing is to receive instruction from Pritam. Seeing this seems like the leaders in PAP is bullying WP.

I am a PAP supporter but I am very sad that they chose to try to bring down the Worker Party through Raeesah' s lie. Every educated individual would know that Edwin Tong's line of questioning is overbearing and attempting to force Pritam to admit to wrongdoings through silly assumptions. It went on for so long and it is very painful to watch. PAP should stop doing such things as I am sure it is putting off a lot of educated voters. You just need to establish the facts and come out with a report on how the Worker Party Central Committee could have handle it better. That's all. Now this circus show is circulating on social media and it reflects very badly on PAP trying to pin blame on Pritam while there is no significant evidence. My sympathy lies with Pritam Singh.

At that point I thought they will CID so I just pass my IC for random check.. They took out a machine and started to issue me a ticket for smoking indoor? When I wasn’t smoking at all ! I ask them for prove.. the NEA person told me ( their eyes is prove already not happy write in to NEA ) so I went down to NEA HQ and file a complaint.. they said to be they will still stand for their rights and ask me to proceed to the ( COURT ) so I went to the court telling my side of story… You know what ? The court ask me for a prove that I wasn’t smoking!!!! How the hell I able to get myself recorded 24hrs in all my life???? Isn’t this a Joke ??? I said I have nothing to prove myself.. and I believe the 2 NEA PERSON HAVE NO PROVE EITHER ( I’m confident to say that because I wasn’t even smoking at all ! ) Long story short ( they still fine in the end ) from $200 become $500 if I never forgotten wrongly The price increase because I bring this matter to court. Edwin Tong made too many assumptions based on his preconceived narration and then gets upset when Pritam Singh disagrees with him. I mean since this is supposed to be a parliamentary inquiry with no hidden agenda on the part of the committee and Edwin Tong in particular, then Pritam Singh has every right to disagree and give his answers the way he sees fit with the choice of words he deems right, no? I don't know how serious Singaporeans will take the final report, given how many now sees Edwin Tong as being very biased and particularly aggressive against Pritam Singh.

This inquiry for facts had turned into kind of interrogation towards achieving sustenance of a storyline in search for evidence against WP and its leaders along PAP's line of imagination!

i'm a PAP supporter, but frankly, to be fair, the interogation team should stop trying to lead to the narrative they find true to make PS look guilty and let him speak.

Disturbing session that starts biased rather than seeking objective truth. The committee chair seems only interested in steering the questioning towards conclusions & presumptions he already have, not giving Pritam Singh any chance of clarification even when he disagrees with the chair’s pre-suppositions. Keeps telling Pritam to not elaborate or disrupt his chain of insinuation. This is such a clearly unfair & disturbing interrogation poorly driven to support the chair’s perception of truth. Very disappointed with the committee’s agenda & obvious need to hang the the Worker’s party at all cost. Surely we can conduct this session better other than telling Pritam to shut up half the time. Painful to watch.

What evidence does the WP has to prosecute her when she confessed to them. The only evidence that Raseah khan is lying is her own words. If WP try to turn her to the police she can say: no I did not say I lied, then what? Remember this one is a liar. She can confessed that she lied, but she can also lied about not confessing that she lied. It is only rationale to tell her, if u really lied, go and confess to the police. Now she is trying to use her lies to take the party down.

WP should turn her to the police even if she denied lying, she still needs to substantiate what she claimed in parliament about the police. The moral of this episode is just a cover up. Nobody would want to own up for their serious mistake and will keep on denying and place their accusation on others until they are cornered with evidence and no way out to deny it anymore.

When she was asked to substantiate what she had said in parliament by PS, she couldn't and had to admit she was not telling the truth to the 3 Senior members. Why would RK want to repeat her lie in parliament again when she already admitted her lie, unless something triggered her to repeat the lie again with confidence and gusto. The incidence of the sexual assault on her didn't happen a few days or weeks ago but almost 10 years when she was 18 yrs old. There is no sign of abnormality in her behaviour or performance as an elected MP. Even PS said he had no regrets taking her in as a candidate of Sengkang GRC during election walkabout.

If you follow the COP inquiry with Faisal. On 8 Aug RK lied in parliament. Then she told Pritnam, Sylvia and Faisal in a private meeting that she lied. She said WP asked her to "BRING IT TO THE GRAVE" On 4 Oct, she lied the 2nd time, while the 3 of them sat comfortably in parliament. Now PS trying to deny that it was his advise to RK to continue lying the 2nd time.

The 3 musketeers were in the Chambers on 4th Oct. None of them stood up to say anything. They knew the lie by 8th Aug. Announced only on 2nd Dec because Miss Loh and Nathan were coming to COP on 2nd Dec. Until then , the CEC didn't know that they knew. Pritam said weakly...Well they could have asked. Disclosure should be voluntary Tricky.

This is ridiculous. ET just keeps repeating the qn to force an answer that he wants. Waste of taxpayers money.

Faisal said: RK didn't ask for advice so I didn't say anything to her and leave the matter to PS to handle her out of trust. PS said: RK didn't tell me she had spoken to her parents, so I didn't ask or advise her what to do. PS said: I didn't advise her about the police's requests or to ignore the requests. After being cornered, PS finally admitted advising RK about praliamentary privileges for elected MP. With this denial broken, all other denials are not credible anymore. Hope you understand the whole event.

Very off-putting, I don’t know how Pritam Singh can keep his cool.

Actually I'm confused, what is the motive of this hearing? Rather than going so much extent of proving who's right and wrong... This time wasted can discuss on something more beneficial to Singapore's society as a whole. Just respect that everyone have their own mindset and judgements, it's obvious both party have different opinions. RK admitted to her mistakes and resigned, punish her for telling lies and move on. Even if PAP is right and WP is wrong or vice versa, at the end of the day we all have different opinions. Respect that as normal human beings because this hearing can go on forever and still both parties have different train of thoughts. It's a matter of who's willing to give up first.

I never heard of Edwin Tong until this case. PAP's sole argument rest on Khan's testimony and Edwin is the front-man given this Khan person as his witness. It's like someone given a fork as a weapon in a battle. No wonder, Shanmugam is not the front-man for this comedy show.🤣

Edwin tong exposing himself for leading towards the narrative he wishes to be true, disappointing sia. Absolutely no objectivity shown to what may or may not have transpired, instead if what LO said wasn't in line with what he wanted to be true, he rejects the notion completely. This committee isn't exactly portraying itself to be a beacon of integrity when so many have questioned that of the WP's.

My observations after watching this video: PS’s immediate retort, direct steadfast eye contact, tone and body language showed he was being truthful, has a sharp mind, and a nerve of steel. We can see that his testimony was consistent till the end, he didn’t crumble under tremendous pressure. He cud hv remained as a lawyer and enjoy a brilliant prestigious career, or joined PAP, earn much more, enjoy a strong backing, but no, instead he had chosen the tough n treacherous path to lead the opposition, some hv been sued or charged or exiled. He was always well prepared when raising issues during Parliamentary debates. When he speaks, people listen, just like with President Tharman. Both of them deliver. No doubt, PS is a very outstanding and courageous leader, and has a spine. The people will judge and remember.

To suggest that Pritam Singh was assisting Raeesh while she was being questioned in Parliament is wild speculation. Why not speculate that her father or husband was assisting her? Such wild speculation has no place in Parliament. Also, why not ask Raseeah why was she looking at her phone, stop her from looking at her phone, or seize her phone? Why such wild speculation only now when soemthing could have been done at the material time?

Pritam playing the strategy right by giving answers based on facts. Even if he had the intention to cover it up from Aug to Oct he can say that he was giving due respect to RK's parents. On the other hand Edwin Tong is using the prosecution strategy and worse still making so many theories on PS's actions to the point it sounds ridiculous. Not to mention that he keeps telling PS not to interrupt but he does it himself. PAP had a gd chance to focus on strengthen the confidence of the Sengkang GRC in PAP while bring RK to full accountability plus maybe a rap on WP leader nuckles for keeping silent between Aug and Oct But now this stupid strategy of hanging PS for a presumed intention is going to massively backfire.

9:24 ET go back law school and learn how to do a cross examination. At that point, it is now an interrogation.
