The focus or objective is simple. Think about it - Raeesah Khan is a pawn. Moreover she has resigned and no longer an MP. So the real objective is Workers’ Party. Why? It’s clear that WP has evolved into a credible Opposition party since the days of JB Jeyaretnam. Under the leadership of Low Thia Khiang, WP has grown even stronger. Chen Shao Mao’s leadership challenge didn’t dent WP and Pritam Singh consolidated his influence in WP. That led to the best showing by any political party other than PAP in the history of Singapore. That’s why Pritam was designated by PAP as Leader of Opposition but that’s no accolade, it was a big target board. So the real objective is to discredit WP as a credible Opposition. RK is merely the means to an end while ET is the tool to achieve it. If ET does well, he will move up the PAP hierarchy. So far, I don’t see that happening.

I would like to bring across the point that the primary role of the COP is to discover and venture the backstory of the situation. it is in their ability to do such an act. However, many, including you, argue that COP is biased, due to the reason of it being PAP dominant or that misleading questions. Do note that when you learn about the sector of law and politics, these are generally not too misleading as its in their scope of questioning. Furthermore, do note that WP(Mr Dennis) is also part of the committee and he is from the Workers Party, he will of course not accept any baisness. At this point, it isn't a war between WP and PAP, its just WP having a civil war currently and PAP benefiting from it, which they basically did nothing. Interesting situation.

This entire proceeding had blurred the purpose and intent as well as the terms and reference of the COP. The COP is to focus on the liar and the severity of it so as to determine whether the MP who lied should be removed from Parliament or otherwise and the punishments to be give to the individual MP who lied. Now it appears that the COP is to determine whether all WP MPs should be removed.

It's RK's words against the WP leaders' words but can she substantiate? During the hearings, there were at least a few contradictions in the testimonies of the witnesses.

In this sitting. Raeesha had 2 important giveaways and I think we know who is lying again. Luckily Edwin Tong is kind to her and did not really grill her the way he did with PS, Sylvia or Faisal. Otherwise more giveaways will come out from her mouth. Giveaway 1... she say she need to have a conversation with her parent after the 2nd lie in October. That means PS and the other WP leaders statement is accurate as they suspect she had not told her parents about her own experience. Why Edwin Tong did not pursue further ???? Haha... we know why lah. Giveaway 2 ... she admitted PS say that if honesty or responsibility or ownership is the path then she should have clarified and confess in 4th October already when she ask PS what to do or otherway after the 2nd lie. So no one asked her to continue the narrative.. obviously a false statement from Raeesha. Of course there are other giveaways. She did not share she was seeking treatment way before all these incidents. She gone case already . Hope the COP will be fair to all WP leaders now. There's a bigger issue in the world, and in sg, this case fast fast close can? She lied once what else. Next two three months still drag? for what? put them in one room let see..... oh on top of that, lie detector test. Boomz.

The main problem is her and not WP. She is like a blur sotong. Hope we can stop this debacle no point continuing. WP please get a much better calibre candidate the next time, quite disappointing from your this time.

How come ET accepts everything RK says but rejects everything PS says?

Not true. He didn't reject PS' testimony. He asked PS to substantiate which the latter couldn't in many instances.

I wonder how many loyal PAP supporters voted in the last presidential "election".

I want this lady's modesty violation account overseas to be thoroughly investigated. Even that, I presume, is a lie to soften other people's stance - please investigate her claims of an assault actually taking place overseas thoroughly - it is as important as her claims made earlier in the parliament - if that too turns out to be a lie, then she has to be jailed as well.

This is just a wayang that fools nobody. The Singapore government will not request the assistance of other government for such a frivolous lie. They are not stupid. Even if they are that stupid, no foreign government will want to spend resources on a stupid request. The least they would want is the time and place the assault took place and whether there was a police report lodged. Something Ms Khan will never divulge as a state protected witness. Whatever benefits the PAP will happen. Everything that doesn't benefit the PAP will never happen. They just sweep it under the rug. Everyone knows that to be true.

given the risks, why would the WP leaders instruct her to take it to the grave lol...it doesn't benefit them at all, and the leaders had no part in the lie which gave them no incentive to cover up for her.

I guess others try to hide her prob to save her dignity from being ashamed to the public.maybe they just pity her so they let her keep her secret but she backstab them

I noticed one contradicting detail that RK was very clear, she had no recollection of the slightest on what PS mentioned to her as he walked her out of his home. However, she was very certain that there was no mention of PS telling her to share the matter with her father. Which drives the point that the only way she could have been certain, is if she DID have a recollection of what PS mentioned to her at that point in time to know that those words stated by PS were not in conversation.
