Rude Runyan is looking for a reason to retire from the Wichita, Kansas police department
The old style of policing is coming to end, old man. too many people are empowered with cameras to catch all the things you do and say. I try to show some respect to the, "first arriving cop on scene", by keeping a distance and listening as best I could. But your rude, stupid self had to continue to press me for information when I ask you to show some respect and be quiet!
I could have walked over to the complainant and stood over her shoulder to listen to what she was saying. I could have moved a lot closer and made a presence to intimidate her testimony. I didnt want to influence her statement. I didnt stand at a distance for you to muffle her statement with your threats and redundant questions.
You saw that the situation was under control, yet you escalated the tension with your abrasive style of police work. Your "old school" of "police work" is beyond retirement. You should have left a long time ago. You make situations much harder to deal with. Stupidity!
I ask people to petition Runyan to retire early. He is just looking for a reason to retire at this point and it could turn into a dangerous situation for somebody with his abrasiveness: www.wichita.gov/WPD/Pages/def...

I wish people would just respond to that question with "Are you?" If the implicaton is that you have to be a lawyer to know the law, then that would disqualify like 99.99999% of all cops. 4 or 5 weeks in the police academy doesn't even scratch the surface of the of the inner workings of law. It just gives them enough knowledge so that they can hopefully find a reason ( even if that reason is flawed ) to arrest you. This is proven by this cop having no idea what is actually covered by the 4th amendment.

Calling someone a "mass murderer" should be considered slander.
How Mr. Heinze acts is pretty interesting to me. He's courteous but faintly aloof in his interactions, then when an officer actually engages with him more seriously he begins the negotiations for ID and personal history. Often the officers become overly forthcoming with the expectation it will be returned in kind only to be told vague and partial information. Every officer chooses to handle the interactions they have with him differently....some frustrated, some annoyed, some violate his rights, some just drive away. Some officers completely lack sophistication of the very laws they intend to enforce.
