Police caught me in the woods "messing around" in Jay, Oklahoma

I stopped at this park for the day to cook catfish, exercise on my dip bars and relax and was successful for most of the day.

That was until I walked into the woods, then somebody, watching me very closely, decided to call the cops on me.

4:20 Officer Todd Stanley(?) told me that the report stated I was messing around in the woods, which is "private property". I broke the law and I needed to identify myself. Since I invoked my 4th Amendment Rights, he then claimed that I was "obstructing justice". He then decided to do a "Terry Stop" and pat me down for weapons, then called his Police Chief (?), who looked to be driving his personal vehicle and in plain clothes.
The situation got a little tense with Tod, but I think he made the right decision to call a supervisor over his dispute with the law.

I'm afraid as soon as a cop does that it reveals a lot about their attitude and approach to their role. It's a shame, as I have seen cops who seem to be OK when people don't immediately provide their ID, and even acknowledge the fact that the person being asked is not obliged to (depending on actual circumstances). Small towns are really hit or miss. Where I live they will try to get there first to tell the county swine to fuck off. Better to have the townies than the counties. Usually it’s the fuckin suburban county cops that are worst (they’re just revenue generators), city cops tend to be worse, and then small town cops are hit or miss, particularly if you’re from out of state.

Any judge would say the citizen was being detained even though those words were not used: 1) the citizen was removed from where he was and escorted somewhere else; 2) the officer agreed it was a "Terry stop" and patted him down; 3) the officer said that after he gave up his ID he could be "on his way" implying he cannot yet depart; and 4) the citizen was told they were waiting for the chief to arrive. With no evidence of a crime, this is an illegal detainment.
