Restorative Yoga for Anxiety Symptom Relief

Find respite from symptoms of anxiety and stress with this 30-minute restorative yoga for anxiety class. When we're anxious, we often pressure ourselves to calm down right away, as if it was that easy. Instead, we'll move a bit in the beginning with gentle asana, then continue through a series of restorative yoga poses with shorter holds to soothe the restless energy of anxiety. My hope is you feel calmer and more relaxed. Restorative yoga has been shown to slow down one's heart rate, reduce blood pressure, and calm a racing mind.

    Would love to have zen/yoga music in background…my mind is so busy i need the background to be soothing.

    I understand that struggle, and I purposefully don’t have music present in my classes because its absence encourages the mind to relax from additional sensory input. It might take some time, but silence is nourishing for our minds and we tend not to get a lot of it. 😊

    Hmmm this felt so nice and soothing. I get your reasoning in staying in the poses for a shorter amount of time, and I felt the need to stay much longer (like twice as long), so I paused and stayed, and that felt great. Thank you 🤍
