LEARN HOW TO MAKE AN EASY AND QUICK WHITE BEAN SPINACH DIP RECIPE BETTER THAN HUMMUS!
LAY HO MA (how's it going in Cantonese)! Whether you're hosting or just looking for a movie snack, this recipe is sure to be a winner! Join me in this episode and learn how to make a delicious white bean and spinach dip tonight! Let's begin!
Ingredients:
1 onion
2 pieces garlic
400ml canned artichokes
400ml canned cannellini beans
1 tbsp avocado oil
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp cayenne pepper
1 tsp smoked paprika
120g spinach
1 cup cashews
1 cup water
1 cup shredded plantbased cheese
serve with crusty bread, crackers, or chips
Directions:
1. Dice the onion and roughly chop the garlic. Squeeze out the water from the canned artichokes. Rinse and drain the canned cannellini beans
2. Heat up a sauté pan to medium heat. Add the avocado oil followed by the onions. Sauté for 4-5mins. Add the salt, cayenne pepper, and smoked paprika. Stir to combine the amazing flavours. Add the artichokes, cannellini beans, and spinach. Sauté for a few minutes
3. In a high powered blender, liquify the cashews and water. Then, transfer the sautéed veggies into the blender. Pulse a few times, then transfer the dip to a baking dish
4. Set the oven to 375F. Spread over your favourite shredded plantbased cheese and bake for 15mins. Then, broil on low for a few minutes until the cheese is a slight golden brown. Serve with crackers, chips, or crusty bread

Hey Wil, I would really appreciate some pointers on how to select the "most correct" Vitamix blender. There are so many models and series that all seem like variations on the same thing. However, maintaining so many models is non-trivial, so there must be some reason they all exist, and by extension, it's not just a throw a dart and pick one decision, especially given the longevity. I thought I'd decided on the 5200, then I saw that the 5300 might be good. And then the 750. But what about the 7500? I could make up some numbers. I've never said this about a sponsor before, but if you did a video explaining the Vitamix product roadmap, I think a lot of people would actually watch it. I wouldn't pick a random Vitamix any more than I'd pick a random electric car.

Do you think Vitamin would do anything about a cloudy bowl that won't succumb to either the white vinegar method or the baking soda and water method?
I just found out that Staples(office supply store) will remove the spine and add a spiral bind instead. I’m doing this to all of his three cook books. The cost is under $5!

I bought a certified refurbished vitamix 5 years ago now. It's still going strong. It is an upfront expense. But, if you buy the refurbished ones, you save hundreds of dollars. So, don't think they're out of your reach without doing research. Just a thought for those who may not normally be able to justify the brand new cost. Love your videos

Most of the refurbished ones are ex trade show demo models. All they do is replace the 'jug' (for lack of a better term). You get a shorter warranty but you can extend to 7 years I think... Bought my brother one as a gift years ago, he loves it. I have a Kitchen Aid one and it is 'OK' destroyes the rubber gear things on a regular basis and does not have the power of the Vitamix. Still trying to rationalise awapping out the Kitchen Aid for a Vitamix... might have to go for it and donate the KA to a charity shop along with a bag of the rubber gear drive cogs that it strips.

I've had a refurbished Vitamix since 2007 no problems until recently. Even refurbished it had a 7 year warranty. 16 years before any problem and I used it near daily. I need to contact them about service. The unit works, but no more variable speed. Which means it definitely doesn't work well. Hard to get smooth and makes a huge mess on the inside lid. Beyond time to call.

I have an ancient Vitamix - I think it's nearly 20 years old - it doesn't have the fancy digital display. And it's still going strong. I've never had a single problem with it, so I'm sure you'll get many years from your refurbished model.
I moved to a farm in 2005 that had a vitamix from the 70s that was still working fine. My daughter borrowed mine last week to make a special soup, and I may have to fight her because she hasn't returned it yet. 😂

@ YEUNGMANCOOKING. Hello 🙋 Wil. About a week ago, I made your White Bean recipe with a slight change. I poured it over cooked Spinach noodles then put that whole combination in the oven until it got a (very) light golden color. It got rave reviews from everyone involved in the eating part of that get together. Thank you for turning my not so special noodles into the favorite food item that day. And since then, I made it as intended for a dip too. Absolutely Delicious 👍. Thank you for sharing your recipe, Wil.

Good Lord. Looks so good and tasty. That recipe appears easy to follow and as soon as everybody around here wakes up, I'm definitely heading to the kitchen and make me some. I just love hummus and your dip reminds me of a fancy twist on hummus, so this looks totally up my alley. I've got fresh artichokes so I'll have to cook those first. I've also got all types of dry beans including cannellini beans so those are going to start soaking now. I'm super excited and ready to try this tasty dip. Ur recipes are totally inspiring for this vegan gal.
Yum, that's definitely a cut above hummus. A must try.
Just the look on your face when you took a bite…sells it!! Nut allergy means no cashews for me, but I will find a good substitute!
