This is the MAIN PROBLEM! This is all about: Isolate you to not see that it is better outside, with NORMAL People!

I was isolated as a child. I had to play the role of the adult. I did not realize that there was another way. I married that because it felt normal except it was a million times worse. I have no support system beyond my cellphone. I belong to no one and I am happy knowing that no one will ever own me again.

Yes, I am isolated….he moved our family far from my family close to his family. Then when I wanted to make friends, he would hold it against me and make me feel guilty. He always had to meet the friends I would want to eat lunch or dinner with before I could go, but he could just go eat out with whatever ever he wanted to. If I want to fly to see my family, he makes me feel guilty for wanting to be with them…limits my time, I need his permission, but he can see his family anytime without talking to me about it…he just goes. Of course, I didn’t want to tolerate this anymore, we are separated and on our way to divorce. Be aware of these kind of people!

Yes! This! I moved from the US to Australia only to be abused and isolated. Almost did it again recently. This time I noticed the behaviour and cut it off before I got attached. It hurts, but I'm proud of myself, to be honest, enough to say I need more time to healthy

They want u dependent on them- but then, instead of providing for you or helping you out, they starve you instead, keeping you isolated (emotionally, financially) & prohibited from doing what u love or having what u want/ask for. They destroy your living space. They keep you starved n throw you crumbs...they rip the curtains off your windows so u can’t sleep at night & flooded w the sun the second it rises. They want you dependent, helpless & miserable. That gives them life & puts a hop in their step. Sadistic individuals.

My son tells me I don’t need any friends. I only need him.

I think this is similar to my experience. I learned to read better, walked outdoors, and prayed a lot. Mine drug on for a lifetime though. There were so many of them and their, some of them gaslighted, helpers. I had periods of truth and healing I can now draw upon to heal and not go back again. I am glad you found the truth and strength from within you to survive. Be your beautiful Self.

Have been through the total isolation and the destruction that comes with it behind closed doors... the mind games and the absence and the verbal abuse and the gaslighting and the awful toxic chaos created the moment it walked in the door. No kindness, no care, no compassion, no respect, no money, no friends, no family, no holidays, no outings, just lots of nothing... was nothing more than free child care, cook, laundry maid, taxi, book keeping, gardener, house keeper with no reward of any kind ever only toxic abusive abrasive derogatory comments that were spewed out over and over again!!!! All this rubbish confused the heck out of me as it was a Jekyll and Hyde and the Hyde behind closed doors was totally revolting on a daily basis!!!! Your words are so, so true!!!!

They make you feel bad when your friends and family come over, just so you won’t invite them any longer. My narc would go to his room and stay after he made a short entrance. He would make it obvious that his space was being invaded, although we were very rich and blessed. I left all the money and told him to get screwed! It wasn’t worth selling my soul.

All though she did grazy stuff, divorced him twice and married him again! Now i know why i fell in love with "bad Guys" i still hunger for approvel from my dad, i used to be his Little princes till i was 12. After he found out my guy brother loved me uncondittionally and i loved him regardless because his love for me was onconditionall and my dad was a shamed for him. But my bro was my dad all along. After both my brothers died my dad discarded me no matter how much money i was making, he always made me feel small. Not important. He told me: inspide off your succes you will always be half a woman, because you never been married! And than i even worked harder. I was working to get his approvel. He is an old men now, lost both of his sons on cancer and stole my kids.. I don t fight. My kids are getting older andI know who raised them. They are getting by ;) i trust the process, let the fire melt your heart! You will come as out pure gold! Love is all that matters. 🌹

OMG, this is so horrific. I would argue that these "things" aren't even human, rather evil, dark entities, even fallen angels. We are squarely in the middle of the Great Awakening - it was not just about politics. It was about facades being dropped and pure evil being exposed. God bless any of you going through this - it's the most painful experience I've had in my 52 years, but I'm still grateful for my eyes to be opened - never again will I let anyone use and abuse me again.

Yes, he isolated me! I was never allowed to go with him anywhere. I couldn't meet his friends! No one knew about me. I finally found out he was inviting a different source of supply to go everywhere with him. Ironically he took her, of all places to Costa Rica!

I used to say to him for years it would be easier to be alone and have to do everything myself then to have to do it knowing he wasn't there helping me and on his phone or computer. Little did I know how right I was until he was gone. Now sitting at home watching a movie or tv show myself is so much better then having the empty shell of a person next to me on his phone. Now when I have to do things myself I appreciate all I have learned so quickly to maintain my home. Seeing how far I have come so quickly js amazing and it makes him so angry so jealous. He thought I would crawl into a hole and die without him being there little did he know he completely underestimated the remarkable women he was with all those years. Even just typing that makes me realize how far I have traveled on my healing path. Another 100 percent spot on video. Your examples of isolation highlight their most despicable forms of abuse. When your living through it your the like what is happening what is going on. Once your out and see it got what it really was is all the more devastating.

I certainly can totally relate to that Christine 😐it is amazing how we learn to cope alone..Id spent 18 yrs with a narcissist mother then 28 yrs with another Covert narcissist but malignant too..shocking stuff..I struggle and my head is spinning at times..running my home by myself but the peace is priceless and I've coped incredibly especially with financial obligations..book keeping..just to improve on the rest 😀Blessings 😇💜

@@kimmonks116 That's so great Kim. I have been trying to put everything away in the yard for the winter. It's taken me the whole afternoon but I kept thinking how every year he would yell at me, try to rush and do the bear minimum. This year the peace and silence and not having to listen to him complain and argue have been so much better. I truly appreciated the silence and being able to think. My yard is more ready for the winter then it ever has been. I'm still trying to get all his stuff out it's been three months he hasn't helped pack a think but continues to complain about how I have overstuffed the boxes so they don't lay straight. Keep on continuing to move forward. We are so much stronger then we think. We can do the job of 2 people better by ourselves then we could ever do with them and there lack of help. I keep thinking of Andrew's video it didn't have to be that way because it didn't none of this had to be this way or should have ever been this way. All we ever done was try and love and help them and all they ever try to do is tear us down. The thought of how he isolated me in my own home is a concept from Andrews video today I'm really trying to process. I don't miss any of it. I even texted him today which I never do but came across something outside I had no idea what it was asking him do you want this or can I get rid of it. Of course 2 hours later no reply from the man that never has his cell phone out of his hand unless he's asleep. The head games continue but I have to take them for what they are now. Yes indeed. He love bombed me, then he isolated me, slowly. He wanted me to be with him and his family, but he didn't want me to spend time with my family. He would have an attitude or get angry when I wanted to visit my family.. Or I would get the cold shoulder. Yes we live a little far from my family, so he uses the excuse that it costs too much for gas, or that it's wear and tear on my car. I was only allowed to go to town once or maybe twice a week. Or the sh**t would hit the fan.

My ex insisted that I move in with him or he was gonna break up. So I changed jobs and moved in. Then he complained when I talked to my kids on my phone. He went through my FB found an excuse to make me close my account. So I did and then he started the devaluation phase. It was horrible. I had no one!

I felt alone sitting next to him. I wasn’t allowed to meet his friends and mine didn’t want to meet him. He had church friends and pub friends, both groups didn’t know about the other group.

I went through it. The business went under, used her phone number, she travelled with me and contacted others as i was inside each customers home. Moved to her home town, a small island as i had $0 Funds. She took me away from a son i have from another woman. Takes my phone, cancels internet, i couldnt reachout to nobody for many months on end. I have audio of all i need to confirm everything. If this phone dies, so does my soul and future welfare of my children. She charged me with assult and threats, all charges dropped in court. WISH ME LUCK. Homeless shelter here i come

Exactly what mine wanted! She wanted me to move in with her. Almost did, but to find out, if we ever argued, and there were many, it would be me who would have to go, to leave. The house was plenty big enough to sleep in another room. Not to her, I had to get out and have no where to go but a hotel.

I did move, to a new town, that was closer to him. He promised the help me. One day he did one day he didn’t. I still kept my job, then i quit because he didnt want me to work, because he was going to “take care of me” it was the loneliest time in my life. I barely saw him. Then i got another job, he was furious! He wanted me to move in with him, with my children. I helped him build a house for all of us. Yet, everything in my gut said “dont do it” it would have been the death of me! I found a new place to live on my own and escaped the horror i was living. I had to start my entire life over, it was scary, yet i made new friends, etc. i still live with the scars.

I so relate Steph. Just like she called my job and got me fired I never will know how they did it but they did. I believe she wholeheartedly had everything to do with my two oldest children mysteriously stopped coming around to see me after a 15-year hiatus when they were younger. Then to have this happen because of the narc who never knew my children at all is the most disgusting thing a human being could do to another that's why they don't get any passes. Yes, he wanted me to move and live with him. Far from my work and family. I could have a small job he said. I could say something how we would decorate the home, but when I did, he looked at me as if I had not taste. All should be done how he and his family wanted. There would be nothing of me or something that reflects my personality. I should live his life and not mine. It never came this far. I hesitated too long and then I got discarded.

Isolation can even be restricting internet access or controlling when and where you can use it. Somebody once told me about an abusive husband who wouldn't let his wife use the internet alone. There's no way she'd end up on videos like this.

especially when one is disabled and have no family.

Now I understand why my narc neighbor took his GF away to another state. Poor Gal, she was leaving her home state on a whim. Her eyes were wide with confusion. The hood noted the change in her personality, and we were very concerned.....off they went. Yes he convinced her, that she could work anywhere. They were perpetually engaged. A man who wants to marry does move that forward.

I agree 100% before I knew he was a narcissist I would sit up in the bedroom thinking why do I feel so alone when I have him in my life just didn't make sense he had isolated me from my friends my family he even smeared me to my son isolation very detrimental... And now that I'm 9 months out I've isolated myself I don't know that's a good thing or a bad thing verdict still out...

My exact situation now. Im wife #4 for a reason! Shame on my for not heeding the warnings seeing the red flags for what they were and believing the lies and gaslighting for going on 14 yrs. Because i had a lifetime of trauma and abuse my 1st husband was the exact same as my father and family. I was abused and pimped out to men beginning at age 8. I was the doormat and "Cinderella " of my family. I was groomed by expert narcissists my entire life..and forced to NOT say anything, not complain, never to cry, and NEVER EVER say NO. As an adult and super empath i always wanted to save others from pain ...to the point i sacrificed myself. Now Im stuck with a husband who has me hostage financially, emotionally and broken beyond repair. The worst part is I watched him do the identical thing to his last wife. Shame on me for trusting and believing he would be different with me. Now that im imprisoned in my own life and his continued gaslighting I am stuck. His expertise is quite amazing...he stoops so low as to use all my past traumas against me regularly...shame on me for letting it get this bad.

My situation regarding my ex, when we did talk about getting married, HE never wanted to make any plans, such as the venue, house hunting, etc.., he kept saying DON'T WORRY, WE WILL, NO RUSH. 5 yrs later is when I left. This is so spot on it gives me goosebumps.. This happened when we went away for a month in January for 3 consecutive years. Complete isolation. No say in where you stay, what you eat, if you eat out or not. Completely invalidated. It is scary and very confusing. Yes, lonely and no one else sees it, only you... Great video. I moved into his house after 1,5 years of long distance relationship. I was completely isolated, couldn’t find any friends (which is very unusual for me), he always talked badly about my „old“ friends or even my family. I didn’t have success in my Job there either and was very unhappy (which he must have loved) During the week he would be on Business trips and on weekends he couldn‘t sit still or was on his phone in the evenings. So many red flags but I stayed because his manipulations were that powerful. When he discarted me, my whole support system was there for me immediately. He is alone with no friends now in a house with an ice cold vibe. Everything is still very new and feels like 10 steps back. But in a few months I am sure that I will realize that the discard was the best thing he could have done for me. (He discarted me 1 week after I graduated an advanced Education programm as best of class and after I started a very great job 😏)

OMG...So resonates..spot on Andrew..I was whisked out of the country UK 🇬🇧 to Portugal 🇵🇹 became totally isolated..reliant on his money..etc..left on my own..worse abuse where attempted to take my life...fortunately I didn't try very well 🤨😐I felt no choice to agree with going with him..bang in the middle of more physical abuse..sometimes it was okay there at first..yet I'd no idea how bad it would get..ramped up..mental..emotional and psychological abuse..so lucky to return home after few years there..all thanks to a couple we met there that sensed my urgency to leave as not a soul to turn to..I've been helped back here..counselling etc..Amazing insights and informative video Andrew..Keep well and thriving 🙏 😇💜❤💜❤💯

Yea, all of that happened to me too. The narc takes you off the shelf when they want, and then puts you back up there when new supply or a new distraction comes along. I stay friends with my ex narc cause I think he’s pretty fragile, and Id rather be grey rock than have a bigger problem on my hands.

So true , I pray to Jesus my child wakes up from this. We miss xxxxxx and I’m worried when’s it’s over what xxxxx is going to do! Lost all the relationships with friends and family. Isolation at its highest! We were a lovely close family and his situation has took me and my husband years back in age. His siblings dont want to get married nor trust anyone! The nar has isolated mother from the rest of her 5 children. She has manipulated Adult Protective Services into thinking the Empaths (2 of us) are bad. She has gaslighted us into ashes. No one who could help us get mother out of this situation will. No one seems to know about narcissism and inturn "think" I am the one that causes all the drama. Mother needs help, I have no power.

One of the most insidious things my ex narc did to me was convince ME, and everyone he was smearing me to, that I isolated HIM. Because I would call him out every time he cancelled plans on me last minute, ditched me to hang out with one of his many female friends, or commented on how he was always more eager to see his friends than me. Through his subtle manipulation, he didn't even have to isolate me because I had basically isolated myself since my world revolved around him and I stopped caring about seeing friends and family. Meanwhile, he had the biggest circle of friends and family out of anyone I've ever known and was constantly making plans with them, usually plans that didn't involve me. Instead of keeping my own circle big, I would sit at home alone and wait for him to be done hanging out with his friends and hope I'd get a "wanna hang out?" text, since plans were ALWAYS initiated by him.

You are so right I use to read an write damn near everyday but for 3 years I have not picked up one book to read but he did buy me some books…. It’s been 7 months no contact

During my isolation, my narcissist all but had me duped into selling my house, quiting my job and moving to a different country, wow!! I really dodged a bullet 😳. I'm so thankful for the education 🙌 you ate providing Andrew.

I fell asleep to this video and woke up to a dream I had before. It was Terrifying. I was in a seen and my family was being held hostage by these mofia thug types. It brought me back to a time when I felt like a hostage when this dream began almost 20 years ago. Its so horrifying that you dont tell anyone this dream because you dont want to remember it and give it any energy. It was suggestion without violence. I just new they came to destroy and take my family. We may think we got over somthings from our past but the dreams are telling us we haven't. I didnt understand this dream a few years ago but tonight I remembered when it started. People are not made to live in fear everday isolated. I can prosses it now . Your video was powerful for me. It is so to the point I was isolated by my debilitating disease And i was isolated by my husband the narc. Now i am still part time isolated Because he has controll over my boys. And my house. A trial on the way I hope for some justice As i have recovered as much that i can and very independed now. Amen

My ex narcissist boyfriend told me that if I didn't move two and a half hours away from my kids and family and friends he was going to break up with me and this was after he had talked to me on text and text me every single day for two years. So I got a job and I moved in with him and about 4 weeks in it was horrible he started hitting me and I'm not wanting to trigger anybody either but it was horrible. And the next year and a half well it was the worst I have ever seen in my life I don't know what happened but the isolation he wanted me to stop contacting my son I had to hide from him to even speak to my son he tried to turn my daughter against me I mean I could go on and on but I'm not going to not right now anyway but this makes sense Andrew thank you

Now I understand why my x use to start a stupid argument with me cuz she wanted me to get mad and stay away from her so she can do her dirt on me while I'm in a LDR with her.. & when she thought she can have me when I made plans to see her everything would be alright!???.. not this time I got out of it... thanks Andrew for the heads up!!.
