Wow!!! This happened to me. I moved overseas and I think that was his plan, but my personality (outgoing & loved by everyone) didn’t keep me at home. The more that I was out and about the more he became threatened (looking back now) he would try and put me down very subtly. He always talked about my weight. Gosh this is such an eye opener

The Narcissist convinced me to block people out of my life and start arguing with my family. When I made up with my family he started to get angry. The isolation is important for the abuse!!

Yep! He never wanted to meet my friends or hang out. I would share one “bad” story then he would bring it up over and over. “Why you still friends with him/her after what they did” blah blah

And then they can devalue you without you even realizing it and tell you no one likes you because you are a horrible person and that’s why you have no friends, I believed it too for a long time, 12 years was too long

This guy know exactly what he is talking about. Watching his videos has given me a understanding of what I have been through and why I went through it. My ex did the same thing by making it to where I couldn’t contact any of my friends and family. Also while making it to where I would depend on her for money or her assets. After begin away from her and trying to get a understanding of why my life has come to this point, watching his videos really give me peace of mind so I can better equip myself for the future

My ex literally tried to force me to choose between him and my sisters! I laughed at him. I think his lack of control over me made him dislike me even more than what he wanted to...🤣

When i moved into an apartment with my ex(narcissist) He told me that he doesn't want anyone (family, friends) to know where we lived. He even flat out said he didn't want my mom to come to our home. I of course didn't listen to him. But my family and friends stayed away anyway because they didn't like him. So i was isolated. When he seen that, his behavior was off the chain. The devaluing and belittling was 10X worst. Became extremely depressed. an empty shell. Worst experience of my life

Why does the narcissist treat you so terrible during the relationship as far as cheating but as soon as you go no contact and leave the narcissist they are humble , not dating, just sleeping all day ? Now should be the time for them to do whatever they want to do now and they aren’t.

This is so true. I went from being a bartender, going out with friends every weekend to working from home and never being allowed to have girl time. "Im the only friend you need" i actually heard this line. My best friend was a male, we had been friends for years, nope. That didnt fly with him. Moved from Atlanta down to bum fck Macon in the country. Had to stop going to the gym. Had to stop doing anything that didnt involve him. He still kept going out though. It was so bizarre. LoL, my ex insisted that my aunt was setting up secret hookups with me and my ex husband. The one person he knew I was really close with and she had been through it herself. He tried to get me to move to Florida, no freaking way was I going anywhere with him.

From the beginning he expected me to cut contact with all my male friends, delete my Facebook account, etc. But his own rules don't apply to himself, he meets whoever he wants, and are meeting up with old and new people wherever he goes. That's natural, as long as he's being transparent with me. I tried to be transparent with him, telling him that I still talk to a male friend of mine that I want to stay in touch with, and now suddenly the Narc said he would go out to meet new, single women 😀 I just think it's an odd way to respond to me being transparent with him about whom of my friends that I want to still keep in my circle of friends 😝 Any thoughts?

I've experienced ALL of this from my narcissist ex!!!

I lost all my local friends. None of them could understand why I was with him and he said I was heading for heartbreak and I should’ve been old enough and smart enough to know one by one they dropped away after our break up I am totally alone, except for two friends, and they’re 1500 miles away from the state I’m originally from I have no one locally

My narc convinced me to stay in nj after school after false promises of moving to my hometown for cheaper tax rates and it's just easier to buy a home. I always made an effort to be close to her friends and family, but she was always extremely cold and critical of mine saying things like "they're gonna convince you I'm no good" And everyyear they'd make plans with me to move to va, and last minute would do something to stay in nj, or start a fight about moving somewhere besides my home town because they had an issue of me being too involved with my friends and family. Then they'd convince me that I'm tryna isolate them through projection. Eventually she triangulated and had an emotional affair with a male coworker I had a gut feeling about, and then convinced me I was the asshole and untrustworthy for finding out. Asked me to propose a week before discarding me through text after ignoring me for that whole week My friends knew for years that I was being abused but couldn't tell me cuz id get defensive and become further isolated. They knew because I never talked about our fights or our problems because I was always convinced I was the one starting them, but she could tell everyone about it, but I couldn't talk to my friends

He couldn’t stand my friend and made me agree that I it was a bad idea for either of us talk about our relationship problems with anyone but of course it was fine for him to talk to his friends about our problems or badly about me that’s when the smear campaign began….prior to the reverse discard and prior to when I finally dumped him

I had to stop bringing up what was wrong with the relationship because he thought he was in a perfect relationship and he said it was my insecurities so overtime I shut down and then I started resenting and holding back and not being able to talk or communicate because it always ended up with him storming out going to the bar start making Facebook comments about how he’s now out for the night with people that understand him while I was sitting home alone drinking by myself, and just waiting for him to walk back in so I could start the argument all over again it became a vicious, ugly toxic cycle, and that’s when I started becoming worse than him

My SO made me delete every picture I had in the history of Google photos that contained a man who was not family, delete male Contacts from my phone, delete all social media and he still goes through my phone take sure I'm not talking to people

Oh yeah, just tell your narcissist partner what’s wrong with the relationship you go nowhere you get nowhere they turn it around and it now becomes your fault that a fight breaks out and then the next thing you know you’re apologizing for to them for something they’re doing and you’re agreeing it’s your fault that’s why you have to go to your friends because you have to make sure you need to be validated by someone that you’re not freaking crazy they are

After we broke up, he was telling people I was a psycho bitch I drunk I was toxic. I never loved him. I used him. God knows for what because I was the one with everything, but he destroyed my character with our whole circle of mutual friends to the point, none of them will speak to me they think I was the toxic one, while he’s playing the victim.

My ex left me for another guy, and apparently at some point he put a tracking app on her phone without her permission, and didn't want her to go out to have girl nights cause he was worried she would cheat. Also having her be in her car while on breaks at work so she couldn't talk to people. She went back with him for some ducked up reason.

Yeah, same here. I moved to Asia with him and was discarded THERE!!!

😱 joint bank account! My narc def said that and then he took all my debit and credit cards from me. I literally had to ask him permission to spend my own hard earned money. Let me remind that I never depended on him financially. I’m and independent woman who has a career and owns my own home. My ex did this shit to me too. He made me move 3hrs away from friends and family because theydidn'tlikehim and wantedme to leave. Jokes on him cause I still have my old friends, plus the new friends and my boyfriend in the area he dragged me to.

He wanted to move to New Zealand a few years ago, even now... I said No... Not while my parents are still alive. One night girlfriend invited me to a party.. The fiance of his friend at the time... I had a great time, danced all night... When we got home he started to assault me out of no where... He was drunk as hell.. I don't have any friends... 🤦🏻‍♀️

I have been being harassed by a group of narcissists questioning me over and over again about something with accusations of wrong doing that I had nothing to do with, then later a neutral party will mention something vaguely related and your first reaction is to defend yourself against the past accusations thus making the neutral party think you have a guilty conscious since you started defending yourself against something they did not ask about. It is like putting a seed in your mind that you jump to defend yourself, thus making you look guilty. Is there a Psychologists term for this and a way to prevent them setting that "seed" in your mind? Seems they are trying to get me to frame myself.

Yeah, at night… physically threw me out of our apartment that I secured while still in the states. The day AFTER I paid rent and the day before my BIRTHDAY. I made it back to America. Safe at home with my family and on the healing road.

Ass used my money to buy a Jeep. I swear to God you speaking facts....

... or the ‘healthy’ spouse becomes the death of the party because the narc made them so miserable by starting fights or triangulation so now the ‘healthy’ spouse looks like the villain and the narc becomes the victim in other people’s eyes. The narc will also likely have a secret bank account and a secret life as a way to spite their partner. The list goes on and on.... you don’t seem as sadistic as the ones that I know.

My friends used my car he felt some type of way it was the most. He is a barber ik If I left I would not be taken care of like I take care of ME. I did visit his city and It was a horrible experience we didn't do nothing he was mean we went on one date he put me out the room cause he thought I was throwing a subliminal thru a song 😂 also I went to my close friend birthday outting he called the whole time was mad because Her bf and nephews were there it was horrible said he saw a dude look dead in the camera and tell on me that he was with me lol

So is that why he breaks up when they won't move to his hometown, middle of nowhere like something our of a horror movie 😅..it's all wood and swamp it's creepy
