I know man next in line is motor mount to reduce it or eliminate completely it’s definitely not a fun experience when you hear your car struggling 😒

Maybe i am wrong but i wouldnt think that wheel hop would be because of motor mounts, what if you tried getting rims that were a little wider as well as a wider better tire. Indy 500? Eagle ls-2?

Motor mount got big influence on how big is your wheel hop, I’m pretty sure if you change your wheels and tires that could help for sure

You got to account for the added weight. Now you have to increase torque and horsepower. A bigger turbo charger and maybe a displacement of 2.3l. But that thing is fast nevertheless. The wheel hop isn't cool though because you obviously lose track.

Power flex bushings or if you want you can get full dog bone, from sxth, boomba racing, tork or powerflex 🙂

I feel like if you have low fuel, go on a diet, and with ngs, you can get below 5.00 seconds.

@ulysses4989 there are few people how dipped in to 4’s but most of the time is a problem of traction not power, I regularly do 5.3 at any given time but I spin till like 45mph so spinning ain’t winning lol

The only thing I hate is that when you launch manually it’s sound so rough. Someone I met said to put a rear motor Mount in and the launches should be smoother.

Thanks man It was a good run, I know people are talking that somebody did 4.6 or 4.8 but I haven’t seen any video of stock Elantra N doing it. i know you can go below 5 I just have to work on it a little haha and yes those cars are pretty fast for what they are especially for that price 🙂

Dusted a scat pack? Um that’s 🧢 the 0-60 on a scat is in the 4 second range. Also has 485 hp so so a boat with over 200hp more is not going to loose.

That shake sometimes happens sometimes there’s nothing it depends, but yes people buy that lower mount to prevent it, I’m thinking about it too is just hard to justify that small peace of metal for over 300$ tho lol

Thanks brother I really appreciate that 💪😃 That video you left the comment on my car was still stock, but now I have powerflex bushings, Stillen catback exhaust, Stillen piggyback and Im making around 330hp and 350tq to the wheel. I already have an intake with turbo inlet at my house so that’s coming and I’m thinking about downpipe. Idk how much psi Im pushing exactly but with octane learning and from what Stillen told me it should be around 22psi

Yeah stock bushings are definitely too soft, but thanks to powerflex wheel hop can be easily fixed 🙂

U should warm up the tire before u do the launch control

I think the key is to hit it little bit after launch other wise it seems like it’s spinning more, I know I hit it a little late on the video next time I will try to do it better 🙂

@@PolishBullitt Mounts go a long way. I have a build mazdapeed 3 that was trying to self destruct itself until I pit some good mounts in it. Best mod for sure.

With a 255/35/19 I bet sub 4 sec 0-60 mph should be easy! The wheel hop on our cars aren't helping that time, although it's great period💯

@@PolishBullitt yeah, meant sub 5 sec and you'd wanna go 255/40/18 if your going 18's, a little taller but 10mm wider too. The new Civic Type R has 265/30/19's and that might work on our car but not sure yet, we need more tire on this car for sure but a 30 aspect ratio could kill the ride quality. IMO a 255/35/19 could be the ticket.

For me 35 is already a hard ride I would never go 30 unless it’s track focused setup because you hit couple of pot holes in our area and you gonna have to buy new tires lol

It’s pretty easy once you get a hang of it you will do it every single time, step on a break hard and the hit gas pedal hard and fast it will engage launch control, but remember you have to activate it in the N menu

No brother I tried, Idk sometimes it does other times it doesn’t I guess it depends from the conditions outside and surface but I still recommend engine mount or different bushings

It's mainly cuz of design, the drive axle and hub are one piece design to save unsprung weight. The con being on launches it sounds like this😅

I never really tested it I would assume maybe half a second slower? 🤷‍♂️

So stock this car in other videos hit 15 psi and maybe 17 when a fuel relearn was performed .. and now it’s hitting peak 19 before NGS. How you show us and turn off the lap timer and put the psi on the centre screen to see what the boost hits after NGS so the countdown timer doesn’t hide it.

Yes that’s right with stock boost after gassing up it goes up to 15psi with full octane learning it gets all the way to 18-19psi I’m gonna have to test out if I can turn on 0-60 and then switch screen to psi stuff otherwise ngs hides it on the main screen

Am I crazy for wanting one? I want a cheaper car that has okay power and is comfortable and reliable and I have a 16 civic(2.0L NA) right now with a cat back and if I wanna do all these mods to the car I’m already making payments on I could but I’d be spending the same amount I would for a stock Hyundai that has it all, should I keep the civic or try and get out of it and get into a N?

How you doing brother, that’s actually a good question 🙂 it all depends how are your finances cause I can tell you right now that Elantra N is worth every penny in my opinion. If you really want to have a decent car and get some nice exhausts, intakes, tunes and all that good stuff EN’s 2.0 turbo engine is definitely a better platform to go faster then Honda’s 2.0 N/A 😉

That’s great brother, there will be new model coming out soon too, I mean it a facelift so you can choose which one you like better, but personally I like 22-23 model year better then new one cause it looks more aggressive 😉

So far so good today I passed 38k miles on my baby and almost 2 years of ownership and I have to say I didn’t have any problems with the car except stupid horn which a lot of people have but other than that it gas and oil changes 💪😉

Basically you need new lower motor mount from boomba racing, sxth or new stiffer motor mount bushings by power flex. My goal is to get the whole mount from boomba racing cause I’m tired of it too brother haha

Oh ok you mean wheel hop, yeah brother it’s pretty common with fwd cars with decent power and elantra N is no exception, to minimize or remove completely you need something like engine mount

Haha no my friend it’s not a defect don’t worry not everybody have to be a mechanic 🙂 I still love mine, I’m actually gonna install that motor mount that I was talking about to try to remove wheel hop completely and try to improve 0-60

That’s not that fast, to me. I’d have just gotten the standard transmission for enjoyment since this car won’t be too quick even with the automatic transmission. The standard transmission would at least be fun.
