This video just sold me on the N. I have seen all the reviews and people driving on the street but this is the first where I saw multiple laps on a track. You are spot on when you said just 30 more HP needed. The N has more grip than it does power and with just a little bit more, you wouldn't get blocked by some of the other cars on the straights. Very impressive and just seems like it has so much more left in it if you were the only one on the course or chasing the Huracan with a mild tune.

Not sure why you would be sold on the N by this video. Nothing happened don't even think the car hit 90mph. It's just a boring slow ride around a track.

우와 아엔 브레이크 개발담당자분이 댓글을 남겨주시다니... 감사합니다! 아엔 순정 브레이크 서킷에서 정말 만족하고 있습니다. 싱글 피스톤이지만 전에 탔던 차들에 달려있던 6폿 캘리퍼와 비교해도 페이드나 성능이 뒤떨어지지 않아서 정말 깜짝 놀랐습니다. 디스크와 궁합도 잘맞고 노이즈도 거의 느껴본적이 없는거 같습니다. 그래서 이번에 새패드 구매할때 애프터마켓 패드도 생각해봤지만 결국에는 다시 아엔 순정 패드 주문해서 기다리는 중입니다. 😄👍👍👍

@@elantran 패드 교환하실때 패드 양쪽 튀어나온부분이랑 패드 뒷면 커버 사이에 구리스 바르셔야 스퀼소음 최소화 할수있습니당 아반떼N 페이드성능 벨N보다 좋게 개발하려구 노력많이 했어요! 써킷타시는분이 순정패드에 만족해주셔서 너무 뿌듯하네요! 써킷에서 후륜구동 타시던분이 전륜구동 능숙하게 타시는거보니 감각이 엄청 좋으시네요. 멋지십니다ㅎ 영상 잘 보겠습니다~

@@wheels_with_wings 지난 주말에 새 OEM패드 장착 완료 했습니다. 출고때 장착되있던 패드를 탈거 해보니까 정말 거의 다 닳았었더라구요. 말씀하신대로 새 패드 부분부분 구리스 바르고 장착했고 아직 bedding-in 중이지만 페달 답력도 엄청 좋고 이번 주말 서킷데이가 기대됩니다. ㅎㅎ 댓글 정말 감사합니다! 😄😄

The fact that this is all stock except tyres and wheels is a testament to what Hyundai and there N cars are capable of. Imagine how quick it would go tuned with new exhaust system and performance radiator and inter cooler.

The fact that Hyundai warranty's this car even after bringjng it to race tracks says a lot.

@@hslee0715 몇몇 고성능 차들은 딜러쉽이 마음만 먹으면 ECU 기록 다 뽑아내서 RPM을 얼마나 썼는지 어떤 주행을 했는지 다 알수있다고 들었던거 같은데 아반떼 가지고 그정도는 안하겠죠? ㅎㅎㅎ

Imma be honest I drive an elantra sport and my dealership has not replaced anything for me without something coming out my pocket…I go to my trusted mechanic and everything was done cheaper and faster, ball bearings, rear sway installation, brakes all that. Hyundai is infamous for their shitty ball bearings, and my dealership was gonna charge me 400 for labor and that wasn’t even for parts… my mechanic? 80 straight up ✊🏽 and I gave him a 70 dollar tip and still walked away with money in my pocket happier than ever.

@@chill5251 i wish I could say you’re wrong but after working at one you are scary right. At attrel hyundai sometimes they denied warranty for the dumbest reason and the korean hyundai doesn’t know of this it’s the dealerships in the US and Canada ruining their name they need to purge them all…

What can I say.. Great driving as always especially for being the first time at a new track . You learned the track very fast in my opinion. Thanks for the update on your new tires. Thanks for your kind comment as always, John! I think playing Assetto Corsa on my Sim rig in the last minute before the event helped a little bit with the track layout. Haha I'm super excited to go back there in August. It's such a beautiful track. 😁

I have found the my oil and coolant temps stay fair low, even making a high speed (100 to 140 mph) 100 mile run

Old memory from gran turismo 2 played a whole 4 years and max all cars, Raceway Laguna Seca is a nice track to drive. Thanks for driving nice sound from Hyundai Elantra N

Fantastic video! Loved the commentary. That track is on my bucket list. Btw, I promised I would give you the results of my JB4 dyno. 50 hp map4 on e30. I have seen much better, but it was a 100° outside. I wouldn’t use that for a track day though. I would stick with 1 or 2 especially without an oil cooler. Thanks again!

Hey, thanks for getting back to me. Gaining 50 extra hp at 100 degrees is very impressive! Yeah I think map 1 with 20~30hp gain will be good enough for me. I've heard map1 doesn't require spark plugs upgrade, is that true?

Solid and consistent driving! Can you provide some feedback on brake feel and consistency? I recently sold my track-prepped Fiesta ST because no matter what I did I could not get the brakes to go for a full session at 100% effort. I promised myself that the next car will have solid brakes to start. Lol

So let's use this track day as a point of reference to ses how fast this car actually is Civic Type R driven by Randy Pobst did 1:44:2 stock tires Golf R MK7 1:46 flat also running stock tires Assuming no traffic ans more seat time at this track, this car is Hypothetically capable of getting close to 1:45:5x which is pretty damn good

Keep in mind these times are SO dependent on tire, surface condition, environmental factors, etc. SavageGeese recently did a test between the Golf R, FL5 CTR, GR Corolla, and Elantra N and the EN was only 2 hundredths of a second behind the CTR. (All cars were on the same tires) Truly impressive!

The Hyundai N's get mocked often, until a stock one spanks you . I have a fastback N for nearly 5 years, 82.000 km/s , +-60 tourist laps on the nurburgring , And I only had a dead battery at one point. Went trough more than a few tire changes tho 😁 Such great cars.

코크스크류는 현실에서도 블라인드코너인가요? 게임에선 진짜 낭떠러지 떨어지는 느낌이라 처음엔 무서워서 기피하기까지 했던 서킷인데 아n이 저길 달리는 걸 보니 신기하네요.

네 블라인드코너라 처음엔 약간 무서운데 몇번 경험해보면 금방 적응되더라구요. 뚝 떨어지는 느낌도 어느정도 적응되면 그리 무섭진 않고요. ㅎㅎ

Been missing your track videos with the N. DO you still have it? Did you get your Corolla GR and if so how does it compare to the N on track? Take care.

Having just purchased an EN I thoroughly enjoyed watching this from start to finish. Fantastic driving. Now I will venture off into the rabbit hole of wheels and tires, the MAT manufacturing process and more. I am curious, if you notice the benefit of running the track wheel as an 8.5 wide vs 8 wide, given you are gaining more traction than the offset resistance and weight of the wheels? (1lb each?) Am I overthinking the wheel specs?

한국 서킷과는 너무나 다른 문화에 깜짝 놀랐습니다. 차종불문 양보하며 타는 모습과 차급에 얽메이지 않고 즐겁게 타는 모습이 너무 부럽네요ㅎㅎ. 한국의 서킷은 극 소수의 일부가 본인차보다 오래되고 싼차가 본인보다 페이스가 빨라도 개언더 내면서 안비키려고 악을 쓰더라구요..ㅎㅎ

Is that cylindrical thing under your track timer a mic? Your sound is great on this vid, btw. Also, I'm glad you're driving the manual. Watching you shift and seeing when you do it is visually far more appealing than if you were driving a DCT version.

That's actually my magnetic phone mount. The sound is recorded with my GoPro 10 with a mediamod that's mounted on my trunk. Yeah, DCT will be faster on track for sure but it can't beat manual for its fun factor.

@@jorges2k_ap299 Actually I have a second GoPro on the trunk and that captures the exhaust sound for audio. You can use a mediamod and run a lavalier to the trunk if you only have one GoPro (which was my original plan)

코너 빠져 나올 때 즈음 느끼는게.. 사람마다의 운전 능력 차이가 크구나 싶네요. 심지어 코너 내에서의 회전도 차량의 역량을 알고 속도를 낼 수 있는 끝까지 뽑아내고 가능하면 브레이크보다 엔진 브레이크로 주행하는 모습이 대단해 보입니다. 심지어 앞차들은 슈퍼카급인 고출력의 차량들인 듯 보여도.. 그러하네요. 마지막 두번째 코너돌 때 바퀴의 반은 모래를 밟지 않았나.. 탈선 할까 봐 조마조마 했습니다. 국산차 대단하고 운전자 능력도 대단합니다.

Awesome car

라구나세카는 얼마전에 처음 경험해봤는데 진짜 예술이더군요 남가주 살아서 언제또 갈런지 모르겠지만 또 가보고 싶은 트랙이에요 그리고 N디스플레이서 스로틀 브레이크 숫자및에 녹색 빨간색 게이지세팅하려면 어떻게 해야하나요? 아무리 찾아봐도 모르겠네요 socal N오너입니다

Good driving skill mate

43초대 충분히 들어오실거 같은데요? 1,2번 라인수정하고 몇몇코너는 연석 여유있고, 다른차량 패싱도 있었고, 심지어 아반떼 원메이커전 공략룰 제1조 아반떼는 엑셀을 뗀 만큼 느려진다. 지져라 가 성립되니 브레이크 열 관리만하셔도 43초 충분히 들어오실거 같아용 ㅎ

타 차량보다 쉽게 가늠이 되는 차량으로 인캠을 보니, 생각보다 큰 고저차와 뱅크가 더 웅장하게 다가옵니다 ㅎㅎ 아! 혹시 쓰고계신 가민 카탈리스트는 성능과 편의성이 어떠신지요? 국내에선 리뷰를 못봐서 정보 찾기가 어렵네요..

카탈리스트 가격이 비싸긴한데 꽤 만족중이에요. 실시간으로 랩타임 단축할수 있게 코칭해주는것도 좋고 세션끝나고 바로바로 녹화된거 확인하고 실수나 보완할점 체크하는것도 가능하고요. 섹터마다 최고기록만 모아서 영상 짜집기를 알아서 해줘서 라인을 어떻게 타면 최고기록 세울수 있나 볼수도 있고 좋아요.

아 기능이 정말 다양하군요. 설명해주셔서 감사합니다! 꼭 전방 카메라 등 풀옵션으로 구비해서 올 동계땐 연습 좀 더 해봐야겠습니다. 정말 기대되네요!!

That was super cool. I was salivating every time you went through the corkscrew. I wish it was me driving. I wonder if a DCT EN would be a little quicker?
