She is so real. Every single move she makes is unscripted, it's all about the emotions she feels, singing the song. That's why she's so amazing. Completely untouched and authentic

These are musicians that she had been working with at Psyco Recordind Studio's in London while working on her first album that we are all waiting on to be released very soon.

Great reaction and appreciation for this budding superstar, Courtney! Those are very good studio musician doing these numbers in an intimate section of a big studio where Courtney was recording pre-pandemic. She is recording actively, but her long awaited album still does not have a publicized release date. It will be a hot item whenever it does drop! Look forward to more Courtney reactions of older and newer material.

One thing to remember and I know most of you do, is that these amazing world class performances were made when our Courtney was just 14 years old!!!! Her incredible voice is like someone twice her age but not half as good as her. At my age of 78, having lived through the birth of Rock and Roll and all the various musical genre since then, I am so thankful to have discovered Courtney before my time comes to an end.

Hello these songs released during the summer and fall of 2019. They were recorded in the spring of 2019 when she was still 14 years old. The musicians are professionals, if they are studio musicians I do not know. But none she has worked with before. If I remember correctly, they were recorded in London. These were made to show that she could not only sing rock but also calm songs. She herself wanted to show this. After these were released, the idea was that her album would be released in early 2020, but covid19 struck. My own perception of these session songs was that they would also be a teaser for what was to come.

Hi Shane. Nice reaction. Love this Courtney song, but love all of Courtney's songs. What Courtney does with this song is just special. It's a song that simply doesn't allow you to stay still during it. It just demands you move with it and you can't help but to feel a little more upbeat, with a bounce in your step, for the rest of your day. I don't know of any other artist that can do that. These four covers were made in response to all those who knew Courtney from AGT and viewed her as strictly a rocker. They were intended to highlight her vocal versatility and her creativity. All were recorded in one day. You'll notice, that while Courtney changes clothes for each number, the musicians are in the same outfit for all four songs. Courtney was working on her album at one of the renowned studios in London when it was decided they would take a day out and do these covers. The musicians are studio musicians and they are terrific. Courtney had never worked with them before, other than possibly while she was recording at that studio. They had nothing but good things to say about what a joy it was to work with Courtney and you can tell at some points in the numbers how much fun they were having and, in the looks they were giving each other, how impressed they were with Courtney's talent. The whole Janis Joplin comparison really does Courtney a disservice, as great as Janis was. Throughout her career, short as it was, Janis stayed with in a very narrow range of musical style. This may have been by choice or by vocal limitations. Courtney can do everything within Janis' range and style of music at least as well as Janis could plus she can do so much more than Janis could ever dream of doing. He versatility and vocal dexterity have virtually no match. Whenever I hear people comparing Courtney to Janis, I always think that they've got it wrong. They should be comparing Janis to Courtney, because Courtney is the new standard for musical excellence. You probably have at least several of these links below, because I sent several on earlier reactions. Courtney did an unbelievable 'Courterized' version of Tina Turner's 'What's Love Got to do With It' from her home studio. She also released her version of John Lennon's 'Happy Xmas (War is Over)' this past Christmas (give me Courtney's version any day) and I've attached the link to Courtney's audition to the Voice Kids UK (Another Tina Turner classic). In my opinion, it is pretty close to the equal of her AGT audition that went viral. You need to listen to the whole 6 minute video on this one because the judges ask Courtney to sing it a second time and their comments have to be heard to fully understand how amazed they were with what Courtney could do. Thank you for your reaction, SJ! Those two good musicians that worked with Courtz on her four "Cover Sessions" songs did not work with her on any other recorded music we saw after Sessions. There is one song to which I've LOVE for your to react: A cover of Janis Joplin's "Piece of my Heart" classic. The British group, The Struts, invited her to sing 2 songs, including this one, at one of her concerts, the same year she recorded the 4 "Cover Sessions" tunes. You'll really enjoy her live concert appearance and a glimpse at the level of performance to expect when she starts touring - kzread.info/dash/bejne/f2tpzK6rpKvKZpM.html THANK YOU!!! 🙏

I think Kim Jenson got it right from what I recall also. I can confirm they are studio musicians. If you can take your eyes off Courtney during this video, especially halfway through you can see those 2 guys loving her while playing alongside her and smiling back and forth to each other and also at Courtney while she's doing her thing. On there Instagram pages they acknowledge her talent and thanked her for the opportunity. Here's some links to there pages if anyone is interested. Guitarist Lael Goldberg instagram.com/laelgoldberg/ Keyboardist Edu Bisogno instagram.com/edubisogno/ I think going back to her 1st appearance on The Voice Kids UK where she was 1st compared to Janis Joplin (which btw, I agree with you that Courtney doesn't really sound like Janis. She just has that rock/blues RnB energy and free spirit abou her that Janis did. Courtney is her own person. And no one is like her.) Here's her audition on The Voice Kids UK. It's as good and shocking as her AGT audition. This is the best video of it with pre and post comments that are just as good as her performance. kzread.info/dash/bejne/k4mbzcdmhdzKiNI.html This is a good start for a follow up of Courtney. There's 3 more performances to that show that are just as good. You get to see where her rock roots came from on that show.

I literally just listened to part of a new song, that she's written yesterday! I loved it, so I messaged her that I thought "It was completely DOPE!, and she replied just minutes later with "Thank you so much!" 😲😍💋 Here's the IG link to check it out. It's very short, so no reaction required. instagram.com/p/CQoSx9mhFd2/

Simon Cowell did sign her but then was bought out by a company that did not pick up her contract. She is independent now but has a great producer for her videos.

Not quite accurate. Simon sold the rest of his ownership in SYCO Music to Sony in trade for their remaining shares of his reality tv empire (god help us all! yech). Courtney was co-signed BEFORE that sale to both SYCO Music and Arista. When SYCO Music went to Sony, so did Courtney's contract with SYCO Music. She was in USA again for about 6 months at some point in 2018-2020, but pandemic obviously kept her home in UK trying to work long-distance with Arista and Sony in USA. Then SYCO Music within Sony ghosted their artists and apparently dissolved sometime in 2020. Courtney's contract was STILL held by both Sony (parent company) and Arista until it ran out in December 2022. At least according to all the hard info and hints and rumors I've been able to find. What we know for sure is that Courtney refused to sign up again with same team and SHE CHOSE to go independent with her original music. I'm not sure financially and contractually if that worked out in her favor, as music industry contracts are, at BEST, draconic, sucking up all artist IP into their dragon's horde forevermore. I wish Taylor Swift would introduce Ms. Courtney Hadwin to her best IP lawyer. She's gonna need them when other labels finally come calling, and when old labels try to profit from Ms. Courtney pulling herself up by her bootstraps. The weird thing both Sony and Aria seem to have forgotten during pandemic as Courtney cried out to release her original music: SHE CAN MAKE MORE!! But, with their 'bird in the hand' blinders, an asset is an asset and must be protected and milked for all possible value, and not being able to go on tour during pandemic meant no debut album until conditions changed or contract period ran out. The latter happened, and here we are. As best I understand all the unbelievable nonsense that's gone on as this young girl grew from age 14 to age 18, that's the story, and now at 19, she's doing her best, and just released a rock masterpiece, her 4th original song released in 2023. Yeah, let's all do this HER WAY!! Monsters: kzread.info/dash/bejne/eXiKxZqso7PLl5c.html

Keyboardist is doing improvised kick-drum using a speaker cabinet under organ for some of these, in one he's sitting on a cabinet and using hands to drum on it. These two musicians were tied in to SYCO Music (I believe as subcontractors, not just session musicians, for A&R, as they were with her on AGT: Champions. i don't know, but believe they were assigned to help bring Courtney along when she signed in December 2018, I suspect they were going to be parts of her band (for which she WOULD definitely need more musicians, including a drummer) for Woodstock 50 if that festival hadn't been cancelled. Being so shy, she needed to get to know some people who'd be there with her all the way through her debut. I know there were lots of doubters, more critics, and far too many trolls questioning her vocal skills and musical abilities and training. This EP with 4 covers was their answer, and Courtney's answer, to all of those questions. That mic drop at end of the 4th recorded cover, Old Town Road, was, IMHO, Ms. Courtney's exclamation point at the end of that tour-de-force answer. Hell yeah she can sing!! Unlike some of her cohort who had family financial situations that enabled them to get lots of top training very early on, Courtney was largely self-taught plus what her music teachers in school taught her. But she STUDIED James Brown, Tina Turner, Janice Joplin and more right here on KZread. Original performances. She may have been born too late to learn at their feet like Mick Jagger did, and the Beatles and many many more. But she was born just LATE enough to benefit from the few positive aspects of KZread. She too could STUDY those old greats, the pioneers that laid the foundations of modern music. As did Angelina Jordan in her childhood, studying (under careful parental/grandparental supervision) the old greats of jazz, the blues, R&B, and others. These young ladies are truly OLD SCHOOL artists, melding what they've learned from the past with what they find worth learning from the present, each creating their own unique melding of genres and styles of music to make it truly their own. Ms. Courtney's versatility absolutely amazes me.
