Got to love a blower whine lol just saying
Jared Weems is the Man when it comes to Triumphs in America
You are 100% correct. I had heard of Triumph motorcycle before getting to know him and all but didn't realize the history and just how popular they are. Especially overseas.
is he starting in second gear? i had a bone stock 650bonniville as a kid that would take off a lot faster than this it would eat a stock sportsters lunch! what was his time were they to ashamed to show it?
@@charlesross1682 he was starting in first but the sprockets where wrong sizes... For the shows his brother put 1/4;mile sprockets on there instead of 1/8 mile. The track didn't have a score board at the end of the track and I didn't take a picture or ask him to send me a copy of them as I was more concerned about the video. He was running around 70 in the 1/8.
Cool looking bike with the smaller front wheel 😎👍
Yes it is... Love the stance for sure.
just what part is from 1956 ?
The motor is a 1956 pre-unit. You can watch the full build he did here and he tells you all about it. kzread.info/head/PLxwU0iiozaIPdvvpW1oPhiSrsN5SZlkEm&si=N-vBeRuie3xLzk-i
It's just a sick looking bike. Weems is an amazing builder
@@BikesBeardsAndBrews he really is.. the envisions he has done/built is crazy!
Bugs it doesn’t look to impressive this guy looks like he is good on a Sunday ride
It's a brand new bike that was untested till that it hit the track that weekend. If it was me i'd rather be taking it quite easy than go out there and ruin a bike by crashing it trying to push it not knowing how it's going to react. I mean would you take a brand new, never ridden, completely different model motorcycle and go just as fast as you would on a motorcycle you know down the tail of the drag?
Well it looks nice but thats about it! Mine is the opposite, all go and no show! 172cc push rod single N/A 94mph on the standing start mile.
Not bad I’m doin close to 70 in a eighth mile !! On a bike that’s been rode 4 times an was hand built!!
Well your kinda comparing two different things when he was only doing 1/8 compared to your 1 mile.
Looks like you added a different CDI unit to your RD07A - am I right or wrong?
You are correct. I think me and another fellow xrv owner finally came up that it's a mad hornet brand? It doesn't have any name just numbers and when you search those numbers it's coming up with their brand. Aloy of people use MOSFET
I just love that sound of those early twins .❤ Gorgeous bike . I ❤Triumphs ,Nortons and Beezers
It definitely has a very unique sound and that super charger adding makes it even more different!
Good starting point.
Yea I think it was a good starting point for sure. Next time with the new sprocket setup it's going to be rolling.
Kool looking bike. What and where was this race?
Yes it is a beautiful bike. It was the Iowa hog drags and nostalgia reunion. The next video I post, hopefully Tuesday, will be of the actual event. I just wanted to let this separately due to the this bike and what it is..
I assume it was for show and a little go. Bike looks great and seems to run great, But It really isn't a very fast and rider can't seem to powershift and missed a few shifts. Rider needs a little More Seat time! Great show though!
In the intro we stated we had never taken this bike down the strip at all... No test runs, no shifting through the gears, no anything. This event was all about learning what needed to be changed and working through it all. He knows/will be changing out the sprockets to help with a 1/8 run as the current sprockets are for 1/4 mile. Thanks for watching!
WEEEEEMS!!!!
Way to go Carson!!
✌️✌️
Thanks Brian... How is everything going with you over there in Colorado?
The view from in the bike is very cool!!!!!
I liked that view as well seeing the the super charger spinning! So cool also seeing the pushrods going up and down like that.
@@theadventurousrider very cool!!
So cool you got to be there due this, and to record it all!!!!
Your right. It relieved a lot of stress from Michael and all of them trying to film it for his brother. They could mainly focus on racing the bike!
@@theadventurousrider perfect!
Love all the different camera angles!!
Thanks man. I was glad I had all the different mounts to go show them.
Carson way to pick up the ball and run with it. 👍
Thanks Mike.. I was honored to be doing it.
Whoop Whoop
@@nancyweems5270 thank you Ms. Nancy. I was actually thinking you might make the trip as I was looking forward to seeing you again!
@theadventurousrider I was so nervous about this, one day I'll get out there again
@@nancyweems5270 I completely understand.
Team Weems 🌻💕 56
Good team to be on!!! ✌️✌️
@@theadventurousrider thanks for sharing. I wasn't able to make it to see 56 race. I did see the bike at Mama Tried. Such talent and attention to detail.
your are 100% correct. Everyone he does is so neat to look at and each has it own character that is amazing.
Very good for first time out not too many show bikes get raced good content 👍
@@georgiahillbilly6150 I agree.. I have another video I'm going to create from the footage I just felt this one deserved it's own . They learned what they needed to for the next time around for sure !
Listen to that supercharger!! Thanx for everything you helped doin !!
@@mikeweems1966 man it was mean sounding for sure .. not a problem I had a absolute blast!
Thanks for capturing this moment for us!
Thank you man. I was so honored to do it!!
That was very cool. Thanks for sharing with us.
Not a problem Eric. I got the pleasure to watch/see it at several events and the racing person in me had to see to it go first time first hand !!
Weems builds some awesome bikes! I love the bike he built for Billy Lane's Sons of Speed series with the JAP motor. How cool is it that you get to hang out with such cool peeps and see such a cool old bike motivating with the quickness!?!
I don't think there is a bike he has built that I haven't liked. there is a reason he is a multi bike multi show award winner. I am very thankful I can call them personal friend for sure .
I take pool breaks😂 after this past weekend working on the bike when it was 90 something degrees I’m ready to put one of those out there. Shop looks fantastic!
Lol... Well I unfortunately don't have a pool and I already have enough work around the house I doubt I'll be adding a pool anytime soon. Yea man do it... It wasn't bad at all and like I said I was only on the dehumidifier and it is keep it around 76 in there
That looks like a fine place to do some work or just relax! Probably good for your camera work, too, with consistent lighting. Even just the insulation and the sheet rock will make a big difference by itself, summer or winter, and your unit will use a lot less power keeping the temperature nice and cozy with the work you did. If I knew right where you were, I'd sneak into your new shed and curl up in the corner when it gets too hot :) My old squirrel cage fan just blows the hot air around in my shed :) I look forward to seeing the video on the drag races. Thanks for showing us your new workspace. Now you need a little recliner, right by the air! It would be cool to line the walls with a piece of wall art, or whatever random memorabilia from places you go, and maybe a shelf with old parts that you swap out as the years go by.
Haha yea I will need me a nice chair in there.. that's a good idea on the memorabilia. Ill have to starting looking for it. As far as the lighting I agree.. I do need to swap the blubs for LEDs though as I can hear the hum for the ballast. That's a old light that I haven't upgraded yet!
Nice the way you put the sheet rock and carpet in there. I have a shop/ storage space like that, but it’s my wife’s junk space. 😎👍
Thankfully I came up with the plan for the center part before I even had the Sheetrock up! After I thought about it made sure to keep it cleared out! Going to be interesting when I actually get the pool tables in there!
I try and do most of the work on my bike until I feel like I’d be getting in over my head and then I’ll take it to a shop. 😎👍
That's me for sure... Why before I tried to wait as late in the evening as possible to work on it!
Sounds like you’ve got since cool stuff going on for sure!!
Yes sir i think it will be.
Party room!!
Man everyone but me was thinking that. Guess you can tell how much of a party life i have. 😂✌
@@theadventurousrider 😂😂😂
That's a great idea, those vintage drag racing should be good, will be a lot cooler up there.
I think it will be too. Never seen ole school motorcycles drag racing so i'm looking forward to it AND the cooler weather.
Sweet upgrade party soon!🎉❤😂
Heck yeah man... That didn't even cross my mind.. 🤣🤣
New poker room!!! Let me send this to the guys! 😂
Hahaha... Yea I didn't think about that!!
Pretty Hot in Georgia got me a small ac unit in my shop looking forward to more content
If I had to choose between the two I'd take an a/c for sure. Thanks you sir. I think it's going to be cool.
It's good to see non-racist rednecks
Good bike
It's a great bike! Just rolled over 100,000 km
Thanks for a great video. I need to do this exercise my self.
Not a problem.. glad to help.

Yes sir it was .. pretty cool town.
@@theadventurousrider You were so close to me. lol . Shoot me a heads up next time that you come this way.
@@journeyofjerry820 I definitely will.. I didn't know where all the path was taking us be will next time now I know the area you are at!
I can’t believe you took my bike threw them conditions !!😂😂😂
Haha... Trust me I know.
Dang man, one-handed going around corners on those trails? BALLER MOVE!
Hahaha.. well when I started it was smooth but that changed awful quickly... I think I did have one oh crap moment.
@@theadventurousrider I can only imagine. I only do handheld shots on a few roads where it's safer... just to avoid those :D
Some of the better scenery east of the Mississippi.
You got that right!! Haven't been disappointed either time ive been up there
Just put that charger anywhere lol
I know man.. I was like what the crap.... thankfully the gopro cut on in enough time to capture it.
Tail of the Dragon is less than 2 hours from my house. 😎👍
I actually preferred the cherohala skyway over the tail.. much more enjoyable. ✌️✌️
Lots of great riding up here in the Smokey’s 👍👍
I agree ... Twice I've been up there and twice I've wanted to go back soon after getting home
When you are ready to let go of that africa twin i have a few motorcycles id trade for it :)
HAHA.... nah... i think i'll hang on to it. Why don't you try and import yours from the UK?
@@theadventurousrider Too much work :)
