In todays video, With No Clutch, I have to ride 120 miles to make it home from the Bouts Routes Group Ride I went on. It went out in the middle of the group ride but I was able to finish the ride.... Lets see if I can make it.

When I was a kid I drove a British Morris Minor. One day my clutch linkage broke while I was out running around. I got home, traffic lights and all, by shifting on the move. I had learned where the gears synced up at different speeds so as I approached a stop light I'd down shift to first and brake to a stop in neutral. I'd kill the engine, put the car into first gear and wait for the light to change. When the light turned green I'd crank the starter and on starting I was already moving and driving in first gear. They were some really jerky starts though. I drove it like that for about a week until I had enough money to have the linkage welded back together.

@@theadventurousrider I DID get lucky! I did a video on it, but the gist is that I wasn't wearing much for gear, and ended up with barely any bumps & bruises. The bike was NOT totaled out - although I think it probably should've been. Any time a bike is in an accident, the tiniest scratch results in a replacement part, and the fairing on a Vaquero shows up from Kawasaki painted, for $1,600 USD.

We tired to plug it and yea, talk about destroying the inter tube. Needless to say I carry a front and rear tube. But my brother in law had to come get me as I had to be at work the next day.

Harley Crapinson, heavy, doesn't accelerate, doesn't brake, but breaks. And still high price per weight. Your faith must be strong ;-). I remember walking over a green pedestrian crossing and first row is a proud member of the cult with his two wheeled vibrator. We were by three, all motorcyclists and we did lifted our hands like grabbing the handle bar and shook like he from his vibrator. The guy laughed, so no small minded person. But what to say, my KTM is also no reliability wonder, but at 150 kg and 75HP and half the price of the Harley I can run circles around the vibrator

Your not lying about the breaking and high price per weight... That is funny but you had to admit as a kid they would rather look, listen, and twist the throttle of a Harley over most ADV bikes. It has gotten pretty ridiculous how expensive they have gotten which is why i'll probably never own a new one. Just keep ride the really old ones.

When your in a group ride of over 200 bikes that's about a mile or two long and half or 3/4 doesn't know how to ride in a large group so your slinking almost the entire 150 miles your having to shift in and out of first and second and coasting it's what happens. Thanks for watching!
