Very good topic. Not many think of this or staying hydrated while they ride.

You nailed it. I got back to the gym about a year ago. a 3-4 hour ride used to wipe me out. Now I can ride all day and feel good at the end.

Heck yeah man! You have a solid plan. Keep it up. I have exercised off and on my entire adult life. I got pretty heavy (fat😂) after I retired from Navy. In my late forties I set a goal to be in the best shape of my life by 50. Well, I turned 50 in 2022. I lost 60 pounds in 3 years and have kept it off. Even though the “scaredemic”. When my gym was forced to close I bought enough equipment to get me by. I did it with work. No crazy diets. I applied KISS. It’s all calories in and calories out. It is now part of my life. I wake up start drinking water and go to the gym first thing every day. Nothing takes priority. When people tell me they don’t have time I say “yeah, I used to not have time too…then I just got up earlier”🤣🤣 Dont just do it for riding, do it for life! You feel better and don’t get sick as often or as severe. You got this man!!!!

Thanks Sean. It's great to hear of stories like your as they are motivating for me to get back where I was and stay there. I have to get up for work already at 445 so working out before work ain't gonna happen with 10 hour days. I love them for the extra day off but man they suck for the waking up. But I have been going right after work and been pretty consistent the last 3 weeks. Got 4.5 mile walk in yesterday.
