  Hi, I Just picked up a 188 in Pristine condition. Works flawlessly. I only see them in the classic black color. Mine is a beautiful light blue. Any idea what year it might be? or any other information would be awesome. Thanks

  Can anyone give me the rough dimensions of the Bernina 1130 without the extension bed. I’m looking for the Height, depth and width. I want to make a dust cover for my mother-in-law for mother’s day and I can’t get to her machine without sneaking around and I just can’t do it without being discovered 😅

  I just received my mom’s 1701 model that they purchased March 1970. She had kept ALL the paperwork and parts together, 5e box of cams, buttonholer, assorted gizmos and screwdriver, Stich-ripper, needle-threader, you name it! The warranty was a 30 year warranty. The only thing wrong was the handle to the case had broken about ten years ago. It’s at the shop now for cleaning and maintenance. Love my green machine!

  When she puts the bobbin back in, what thread is she using after? The thread from the bobbin in the bottom of the machine or the thread from the red thread on top of the sewing machine?

  Exactly the one I am using. It's a heavy duty! I've been using it for more than 7 years straight without ever having a persistent issue that will make me take it to the repairs! It's wonderful!!😊

  Hi...my wife had a sewing that this... but she had many troubles... please when when she puts the thread and does the whole process but it doesn't lower the function and sometimes it sews and it says on the screen "OVERLOAD"..   I know how old this video is, and it's crystal clear from your non-responses from all of these fine posters that you're not likely going to read or respond to this. OK...about that plastic gear. ALL Kenmores by this time have that same nylon gear that is notorious for cracking and failing. The 1980 also has this gear. As you should well know, this gear cannot be replaced. It's a sad fact of life. Why you're touting this to be some total metal wonder has me confused. It's not. While an 80 might not fail as often as all of the other machines Maruzen and Soryu were passing off as quality machines (they were until that gear cracked, which it often did and still often does), it still can fail, and likely will. Thought I'd let folks know this machine is as much a sheep in wolf's clothing as they come. She sews well, she's feature rich, but she can become nothing more than a paperweight when the irreplaceable nylon gear finally gives way. Most of your sales videos are upfront and frank about what the machine has under the hood. This time...nope. I'm disappointed!

  I have the EXACT machine you featured in the Good Housekeeper sewing machine demonstration video and your demo was super helpful. I have searched and searched for the manual but can't track it down. Can you help me figure out how to oil it? I am intimidated when it comes to taking it apart because I don't want to tweak the precision movements.

  I'm sorry I've never owned a sewing machine. Until my mother gave me one and it's an old , its good housekeeping sewing machine prestige series 15135 made in Japan, Do they all use the same size bobbin and bobbin case? Size that I can order?

  Oh my I received this machine in a cabinet to boot when my husband’s grandmother passed. It has been sitting in my basement covered for years I just assumed it was too old or did not work. I plugged it in and voila he hums perfectly. I thought of selling it but now maybe I will fix it up. Thanks for the video
