I got this exact machine from my sister in 2019 who bought it new (mid 1980's) and it still runs great. She did mostly embroidery and quilting with it. I'm just starting to learn so am lucky she gave me this machine and a lots of accessories, threads, 8 feet, and more. This video was a good basic how-to guide. I do have the original manual and knee lift. Now I just need to practice sewing in a straight line.

I just bought a Bernina 1130 almost new with cabinet for $100 I love this machine works perfectly. It has 11 different feet.

Thank you for the video, I get my machine in 3 days time, it is being serviced to make sure that all is ok. It worked beautifully when I tried it at the shop but will be nice to know it's all oiled and working well after the service. I downloaded a manual and printed it off and got it bound. Now I have to wait to follow your instructions on how to use it. I don't think I'll have any problem, it's seems to be a straight forward machine and your demo has helped me iron out some questions I had.

I have a trusty Bernina 1130 machine but I need to change the lightbulbs. Can you please do a quick video on how to do that?

quick question it may not be a quick answer😅but how do you remove the needle to insert a new one? im assuming you would need a screwdriver because it is pretty tight due to keeping the needle in place.

yes, the machine is supposed to come with it's own tiny screwdriver which you use to untighten the needle. If yours didn't come with it then try to just use an ordinary flathead and maneuver it so you can properly unscrew it.

Nice Bernina! Somehow it seems to be quite a slow machine, right?

I was using my Bernina 1130 today and the piece under the foot looks Like it grabs the fabric it’s not up high enough to meet the the top of the plate, is there a way to raise that or do I need to bring to a repair shop?

Need help-I was sewing a kimono and it’s sewing so nicely, and all of a sudden the fabric won’t feed 😩 check all the logistics-foot down, and teeth are going up and down. What am I doing wrong? 😩 thank you for any help

Can anyone give me the rough dimensions of the Bernina 1130 without the extension bed. I’m looking for the Height, depth and width. I want to make a dust cover for my mother-in-law for mother’s day and I can’t get to her machine without sneaking around and I just can’t do it without being discovered 😅

Hi. Thanks. What is that little silver knob on top of the machine just across the thread feed gap from the tension dial for? It needs a screw driver to adjust. So what is it for? Thanks so much

Mama got one of these at a church yard sale for ten bucks but we can seem to figure out the bobbin pickup or just how to get the thread to the right spot I did get it to the hole on side by sliding under the metal plate but still can't get the machine to pick up the bobbin thread any advise on this

how do I get it to feed. it sews well but I cannot start the feeding

The "Cut n Sew" attachment was included with the Limited Edition 1130S, so it should fit the 1130. There isn't that much difference between the two machines.
