  Thanks for the videos Amy, just had my mastectomy 1 week ago. For now I have decided against reconstruction and still not sure on the prosthetics yet but your videos are helping get through this process. Starting chemo soon and scared to death!

  Hi Amy.. I was diagnosed with breast cancer in Feb of this year. We caught it very early and I just began radiation treatment 2 days ago. I thank God we found it early and I didn’t have to go through chemo, but when I first laid on the table for radiation I cried. It just kind of hit me all of a sudden.. but the people there were so sweet and really gave me some peace. I have a month to go. How are you feeling ? And what side effects did you experience from radiation??

  Hi Amy, I clicked on your video so I know what I'm up against with radiation. My start date is Nov 19. We are brave women who go through this process. Thank you for this video. My left breast is going to have radiation and I was curious on how your skin was after the radiation?

  Hi Keiko, Sorry to hear you have to go through this. My skin felt tender during the process, like I had a sunburn deep under my skin. I used calendula gel and aloe vera gel after each treatment, which I think helped soothe it. I've heard of some people having more painful reactions (particularly women with very fair skin). Seven years later, my skin there is a bit discolored in that area, but cancer has not returned. Good luck to you!

  This is not hoarding! My husband has literally thousands of tapes, 8 tracks, vinyls cds,DVD and don't even get me started on the equipment to play it on!He took over our 16x30 sunroom but can't get in the space because all the other shit he's acquired is stacked to the ceiling! Did I mention he never throws out a cardboard box ? He makes stops almost every day at discount stores like Dirt Cheap, Ollies and any thrift or junk store .Recently he started buying center reduced can goods! The carport looks like the city dump!!He has even put stuff in my car trunk to store! Sometimes I throw things away because there's no space for them! I'm at my wits end !He won't admit he has a problem so I am the one who is the bad guy when I complain !

  I will be taking tamoxifen after radiation. Are you still taking it? Any advice before I take this drug?

  hi Lori - 3 years late replying - I took tamoxifen for 8 years. No severe side effects but very happy to be done with it. Hope you're well ❤️

  I been practicing and videoing myself a little here n there. My 6 yr old likes to be taped. Lol. Also there is an app called Marco Polo. You can send videos messages back and forth. Short or long. It’s a great way to talk to people far away. I use it to talk to my sister and nice, they live in Kansas. Long way from Washington. Maybe I’ll send ya a link on fb if you don’t already have it. The app makes it easy and fun to do. I think it’s cool cause it’s live! Like a phone call with video just gotta wait to talk both ways. Looking forward to getting a notification bell ring for your account. You are fun and comforting to watch just so you know and I’m glad your gonna try to get back to utube more. I assume no scare or return of cancer since your last vlog but if there was I would like to hear about it if ya share that kind of thing too. I like all the chat pretty much so keep on keeping any!   I am not too familiar with the vlogging. I of course just don’t think I would look good or know what to say on camera. I have thought about getting a u tube account mostly because I’m sure I have a decent story to tell. I want to give back because being able to watch others tell their story and go through their cancer is just so brave and really puts yourself out there so I guess I’m scared.

  thanks! It's true I haven't made a new video in a long time. Actually, I've recorded some footage but it's been a long time since I've edited a video together. It's on my list to make another video but I'm not sure when I'll get to it. I think there's a psychological block also. After a certain point it got hard to spend so much time looking at my own face. ❤️
