Thank you for talking about cording. I struggle with that too. No one I know personally with breast cancer had that. So painful! They are getting less now- 6 months post surg.

also, thanks for the "tour" of what you got from the prosthetic trip - right now, i'm still at home recovering, but i AM looking for to getting mine and was bowled over by how many Medicare allows me have per year- including a swim prosthetic, which is the primary exercise i do. it's kinda neat to know i can still have that fun bra shopping spree i used to take every year..

Hi Amy Love the hair Mine is growing back pretty good but the length is where it just wants to spike and if you look at my pics on FB you will see my hair was down mt back, so I'm not one much to wear short hair only cuz I don't like the way I look and as a child up until the 3rd grade Dad and Mom got me those Pixy cuts. Yours Amy looks great short and I love the way the silver framed your face a while back. Your long hair was pretty too1 I have always loved long hair

Karin all of those questions can be answered! You don't need to go into this decision by guessing. Check out the forum at breastcancer (dot) org - there are a lot of people there who can tell you what it was like for them. There's also a facebook group called "Flat and Fabulous" for women who chose not to get reconstructions. Many of them originally had reconstruction but are having it un-done, for various reasons. xoxo

Yes that cancer drug will make ur back hurt, its very hard on the bones, ( my mother is a cancer survivor )

My mom has back pains too since tamoxifen! (she is on Arimidex now, after 2 years Tamoxifen). And Amy, you're so brave!! I'm still in doubt, will I get reconstruction or not, cuz without both boobs I think sports will be so much easier... (lol) but will bathingsuits still fit without? Will people notice me being flat? Etc. *sigh* *hugs* Karin

hi amy I would really like to chat to you a bit more in 2007 I had leukemia and then 2013 I took breast cancer had a masectomy and a lot of other personal things happend me and my husband seperated after 33 years . An now I have cancer in my bones . bUt I watched all your videos and love them . But would really love to chat to you more are you on facebook xx

I have the same prosthesis (except smaller) in the pink case. I named her Patty. Lol. Each is handmade. The card inside box tells who made each. Imagine filling your tax forms and putting occupation as "breast maker". :)

Hi Geraldine, I think it's a little different for everyone. I know people who kept going to work throughout the process. That would have been very hard for me.

Chemo is a mustrd gas used t kill in world war 1, i know many who never took it and changed their diet and are still here
