Gracinha, for some reason I haven't been able to respond directly to your comment, so I'll hope you see this here. I've met many women who are BRCA+ who've had preventative mastectomies and hysterectomies after watching their mothers and other family members suffer and die from cancer. They're at high risk, and I'm sure the decision is difficult. I don't know what would've done. Unfortunately, we can't completely predict the future. We can only weigh the odds and make the best logical, brave choice for ourselves as possible. I think it's good to talk and think openly about this stuff, and I'm glad that there are people in the public eye willing to share their stories. Thanks for asking.

Hi Amy I always watched your videos we both had breast cancer at the same time so I really related to you . 3 months ago a wee told I had metastases breast cancer they have no cure I don't know how long I have because I don't want to know I'm just taken 1 day at a time the thing that has really bortherd me I had been running to my gp with pain and vomiting for a good few months before i was sent to see my oncologists and even then she didn't seem to think it was anything to worry about . Then I got bloods done and as I had leukemia in 2007 my heamotalgist done a bone marrow biopsy and that was how I found out it was mets in my bones so am not a happy bunny at the minute lol . I hope your keeping week and it's great to see you back God bless you my friend xxx

Dear Amy, I hope you are well. I have been meaning to ask you something. What is your opinion on preventive mastectomy? Would you have done it in hind sight? Do you think that high profile actresses like Angie Jolie help on public awareness of the disease? Thanks.
