I'm glad he mentioned sanitizing to not spread fungus between the snakes - good to be conscious and careful of that.

Grew up seeing black mambas in Malawi; I saw this in my backyard in Maryland- I run so fast! It scared me. I thought it was a black mamba- instant FEAR 😅😮. I think when you’ve seen black mambas you fear anything close resemblance to it. NO THANKS!!

As a kid growing up in Alabama, we camped at Lake Chinabee a lot. It’s in the Talladega National Forest just outside Cheaha State Park. At night, we had to be cautious walking to the bathroom on the asphalt because the copperheads LOVED the asphalt paths.

Since the last part of the video showed them driving into Huntsville AL. on Hwy 72 West, I would deduct that they likely were in Jackson County. But, this type of wildlife and scenery can be found in multiple counties in Northeast Alabama. Jackson County, Marshall County, Dekalb County and Etowah County. I live in Marshall County. So, this terrain and wildlife is very familiar to me. If I were a betting man, I'd say this was somewhere close to the borders of Jackson County, Marshall County and Dekalb County.

@@williamblack4097 Nice! I spent a lot of my youth hanging out at the strip in Gadsden. Before the cops shut it down. It was a pretty nice little city. The last time I was there, it had really went downhill. But, I think that can be said about any town or city in this country now.

@@shane8915 Absolutely , Goodyear closing was the end of an era. Yes it really sad how deindustrialization has affected so much of the US. Gadsden was probably at its in the 1970's.

Nice vipers and turtles. Very beautiful new turtle species. Also, this river environment was very beautiful, green and full of life. It isn’t only Georgia that has beautiful ecosystems. This might be even better. The first rattlesnake had a clearly juvenile sounding rattle. I didn’t expect a kingsnake to be active at night.

Interesting how regional color variations can differ so much. The Timbers are much more colorful there in AL whereas the Eastern Box are probably the most spectacularly colored in their North Eastern range (NY, NJ, CT). I’ve never seen such a beautiful Timber or such drab Boxies up here.
