Don’t know how he never misidentifies the cottonmouths and water snakes. I’ve been watching his videos for over a year and I still can’t reliably identify a water snake. 😂

The water snakes have a circle pupil, while the cotton mouths are vipers so it’s more of a cats eye.

@@bulldog7196 cotton mouths have a pretty iconic "eybrow ridge" that goes from above both eyes and meets on the nose, giving it a slightly "shovel nosed" appearance with a fairly flat top between the ridges. not quite hog nosed, but flat topped.

I saw the very first viper lying in the sun and warming itself today. In Norway we only have one poisonous snake and two non-poisonous snakes. we don't have rattlesnakes out in nature in Norway, but we do in the reptile park

I have young female five lined skinks laying eggs out of season because I brought 4 babies in here and put them in a terrarium back in November and they have since grown up to where they have started mating. Hopefully they are fertile and the babies survive. I'll do my best to care for them until they can go outside. Five lined skinks are adorable in my opinion. They are just as awesome as my leopard geckos.

How the heck can you decipher the Cottonmouths from the Nerodias? The one you picked up, I swear it's head looked to me to have the diamond shaped head and would have thought it to be a Cottonmouth.

The frog at 7:21 info! Typically green tree frogs are green when it is fairly brighter and warm outside. These tree frogs change colors dependent on season and time of day. Since in your video, all of the trees and other plants haven't sprouted yet and it is a lot darker outside that is probably why they are brown! :D

Best way to find them is crossing roads at night during the summer and fall anyways. Eastern GA counties are the best, Lincoln, Elbert, Wilkes. Drive quiet roads from sunset until a few hours after dark and you’ll have a good chance to see one or a few.

It’s almost as if we release them afterwards and they continue living as a functioning member of the ecosystem, rather than dying for no reason….
