I found a beautifully patterned hognose snake a few years ago. I knew that they played dead but I didn't realize how convincing it could be. I thought the snake was really ill and I left it alone. Pretty good trick.

Nice large snakes but unfortunately they were all in shed. This kingsnake should have weighed more than 800 grams. Nice sound effects from the hognose and the rattlesnakes too. Scarlet kingsnakes seem to mimic coral snake defensive behavior. But how and why vultures nested so low?

Though, supposedly the record scarlet is bigger than the record short-tailed. Also, have you found a short-tailed kingsnake before? I don't recall seeing one on your channel, but I hope to someday!
