You guys are asking for it, bare handing tin and shorts and sneakers.

I’d be more worried about black widows. I have never snake bit flipping.. but I wear gloves for black widows in KY.
I love those black rat snakes. I have a single bay garage and had a problem with field mice gettiig in but one day a black rat snake arrived and he/she took care of my mice problem.Those snakes are always welcome at my place!!
I’ve spent my whole life tromping through the woods in the metro Atlanta area and I can’t believe I’ve never been snake-bit, knock on wood, I’ve almost stepped on a copperhead a couple of times. I always keep a stick out in front of me in case one strikes at me before I see it. a water snake struck at me in a creek last year before I seen it and scared the crap out of me, it was on a log while I was looking for arrowheads and I didn’t see it, thought it was a copperhead until people told me it was a banded water snake, those big rat snakes are beautiful, great Video Buddy, Thanks For Sharing!!!

There's no way in hell I would go out there doing this without wearing boots. He's way braver than I am.

Don’t confuse bravery with pure stupidity, eventually he will learn the hard way. You don’t go tromping around in high grass wearing shorts and tennis shoes, you wear snake chaps or tall snake proof boots or both. They only found copperheads which can wreck your day but who’s to say there weren’t rattlesnakes around? He sounds like a little nerdy guy who thinks he knows all and the snakes are harmless. It’s usually those kind of guys that when they get bit are shocked that it happened and can’t understand why.
Though I’m not fond of snakes, I did enjoy the video. Something I’ve learned is to expect to find snakes under discarded tin and plywood.
I love snakes ! I have a 30yr old ball python! Captive born had her since 3 mths old! I'm 72 now! When I expire she already has another home to go to!
Found a fresh 4.5 foot long skin by my AC unit a couple days ago here in Athens, I hope I get to see its prior owner soon.
btw love ur vids, they got me into herping and have been on three out of country herping trips since
Those black rats and coppers must be eating pretty good. They were thicc! I like the bike cruising even if it hasn't produced a banger yet. Glad you added it in.

Rats are feeding on the coppers for sure
Copperheads getting Crunk. Fantastic content as always. I don't remember seeing many red bellies this year yet on your vlogs. Top knotch herping by a top knotch herper. Thank you for the hard work you put in the field. YOU THE GOAT BRO! Catch you on the flip-side. Richard and Heather from Arkansas
I always enjoy your videos, thanks for sharing. Many blessings.
Is it my imagination or are the copperheads unusually active / aggressive in this video.
We like the way you say girthy. And bro-ther.
Beautiful copperheads!
Great video. I used to do this everyday after school in California. I’d love to do it again, but the ticks here in Tennessee are what keep me from being more adventurous. It’s finding them later in my private places that bother me the most😂
Thanks again 👍
Great video guys.
Love the video! Love them snakes.
Nice copperheads, black ratsnakes and those salamanders that are otherwise rare in the warm season.
"Only gray rats bite" I wish I'd known that yesterday when I got bit trying to move one out of my shop LOL
Ghezz, what is up with all of the sheet metal ? Is it just abandoned. I could use some for my shed build.
Autumn in a pocketbook and put beside the road 😂😂
Awesome😊
You'd fit right in up in Blue Ridge, GA we've got street named Snake Nation up here.
Glad i missed that part of atl when i lived there 😂
I learned today that some five lined skinks will attack and eat yellow jackets. My large male caught a huge queen Southern yellow jacket and ate her because she flew down in their enclosure. I've always thought that they would leave bees and wasps alone but they are braver than I thought.
Id be wayyy more scared of coming across a yellow jacket nest than anything else...

@@smetlogik Man, that is my ultimate area to wanna herp here in the states. I wanna see a rosie boa in the wild plus do,ensure of other species, but I used to have one as a pet years ago and think it would be amazing to see them in their natural habitat. I also wanna see mountain kings 😍
Damn that poison ivy touching got me itchy

It is cool, but you guys are INSANE.
I caught a large black rat snake 2 weeks ago by my front door it has a checkered black and white belly
“I don’t want beef!!” How about venison?😂😂
That deer probably had a fawn hid away in the bushes. I found a nice black ratsnake under my carport here in Virginia. He now resides at my neighbors barn, he loves them. You think he'll come back? The snake not my neighbor, lol. He's about 200 feet away with bushes in between.

I will have to say yes...he will find his way back ,and may bring a girlfriend.😊
Isnt it dangerous to quickly grab a non venomous snake not knowing if a copperhead is right around there?
Black rat snakes are Awesome
I don’t know where your from but black snakes always bite.
Hi Noah
Neosporin,when????
There is simply no snake here in California that comes close to good ol' Black Rat ...I don't care how common they are, never enough. And those are beauties!!!

rat snakes no. racers and coachwhips eat venomous snakes
Who else thought that was a preying mantis at 1:13
Can't believe you are sticking your bare hands under the tin and boards! Wearing shorts no less.
As they say seek and you shall find
Amazing black rat snakes, some of the best I have ever seen. Why are the rat snakes, much more black in that area where you are herping.?
How do you not get covered in poison ivy? It’s everywhere
Do u catch any to take home??
Isn't Pantherophis alleghaniensis the Eastern Rat snake ? Not Central? I thought P. Spiloides was the central or gray rat.
@NKFherping
Ай бұрын
The newest taxonomy I’ve chosen to subscribe to on the channel lumps Black and Gray Ratsnake phenotypes into one wide ranging species, the Central Ratsnake (P. alleghaniensis). This effectively sinks Gray Ratsnakes as a species, which I agree with as there is a wide intergrade zone and no real barriers to gene flow.
What are you collecting the tin for
Oh No, Oh No!
Last !
I get so nervous about you guys tromping through all that poison ivy - you must not be as reactive to it as the rest of us...
Imagine being bit by a snake and not breaking character

I'm no expert but I don't think you should flip the tin towards you. It puts you in the strike zone.

It also protects you from being struck by one if you have it in front of you

I have a question... (if ya don't ask, ya never know) Do the black rats eat other snakes?
@NKFherping
Ай бұрын
Not often if they do. They’re big rodent and bird eaters.
Are there any snakes that would kill and eat the copperhead snakes?
@ericb2409

King snakes 👑👍
Those black snake's are deadly to rats mice anything really if they are hungry do they eat other snakes
Will those big black rat snakes prey on the copperheads ?
@NKFherping
Ай бұрын
Very unlikely, Ratsnakes are rodent and bird eaters. Racers and Kingsnakes that are common in these same areas will though.
Probably ate a brown snake.
Is it true black snakes eat copperheads
@ericb2409
24 күн бұрын
Kings yes. Rat snakes no.
Not to smart to lift that stuff up with your hand that is what metal rods are for
I got a black rat living in my pole barn for years he is atleast 7 foot the other day he had a squirrel tail hanging from his mouth.also flipped a Albino brown snake.
Pick it up by the tail and shake it, it will let you know what it ate😂
Since I've started watching this channel and Will Roberstons channel I get a lot of snake videos in my feed. A lot of it is very reckless and dangerous behavior involving venomous snakes. One channel that started popping up is a young dude who's super annoying. He picks up rattlesnakes and coral snakes. Not smart.
What a shame that’s all you for a week. 14 minutes……………..😢😢😢😢😢
In a word.... NOPE! ONLY THINGS SNAKES ARE GOOD FOR ARE BOOTS & BELTS!
