AnglersEscape

Hi!

My name is Zach, I am currently in college and live in Missouri. Fishing has always been one of my major hobbies. I mainly fish for catfish, crappie, bluegill, and bass. I fish the Missouri river, Smithville Lake, Truman Lake, and a variety of other local lakes. If I have a free weekend, I'll definitely be out fishing.

Best of luck fishing!

Just started an Instagram account (angler_escape) specifically for this channel. I'll show a couple of my catches each time I go out fishing and state what lure or bait I caught them on.

Check out my catfishing ebook! It's full of tips and tricks to help you locate and catch more catfish than ever before. 24 pages in all. The link to purchase the ebook is here: payhip.com/b/Ur0A . Thank you for your support!

Thanks for the best most informative video about catching summer crappie. I'm trying to better chances of white crappie catches. If I may ask, where exactly were you (Lake name and part of the lake)?

Man I just wanna know why my reel keeps getting stuck and not moving. Grandpa recently passed away and I took his rods but I havnt been fishing in a decade and lost my touch. Took apart the reel and watched a video on relining the line but that didn’t do sht. Caught a good sized trout today with a line wrapped around a soda can 😂

You have got to be the best fishing instructor I've ever discovered. I need a coach like you. I'm going to keep watching your channel. I want to learn everything I can. At 68 years of age, I've put off learning to fish for way too long.

I found of the hard way that some worms should NOT be refrigerated (though they’ll usually tell you that on the container).

Thank you so much for being so descriptive with the information. I went fishing over a decade with friends and I didn't pay attention to all of these details. Now I want to take my kids fishing and I hard time putting the rods together. I knew I was missing something, and yes, I need to change the weights and add a bobber. We are going back to fresh water fish tomorrow, and we will use real worms. I am so excited. 😊

Caught a smaller Black BullHead today and the hook was lodged so far down I couldn’t work it out with my plyers as I didn’t want to do any permanent damage to it. So I cut the line and released he swam to the bottom and left. I felt so bad and still do when I think about it but knowing that it’s a normal thing to do if this happens definitely makes me feel a tad better about the situation

can you also show a video on what you actually do with the fish you caught? How you handle the fish safely so you don’t get bitten or get stung by their fins or something like that. Or if you release them, how to unhook them from the hook and release them. Or if to cook them, how to properly handle the fish. Like, I am so not an outdoorsy person nor am I very familiar with getting hands on with fish like slicing them or cleaning them then frying or grilling. But I would really love to learn. I bet many others are on the same page too. Maybe?

Crayfish can “throw their claws” naturally for defense and when they do they auto seal the claw spot and don’t die, if you dangle them a sec over your bucket holding the claw gently in pliers they’ll drop their claw by themselves with less trauma than ripping it, then they last a bit longer in the water but open wound is also extra scent sooo really either way is fine
