Let me guess, you forgot to take a picture
Great fishing tutorial. A lot if people sure will need this right now.
I'm from NYC but raising a son in Missouri. I'm learning to fish so I can teach him how to fish, cause this is a great place for it. Thank you so much for this info -- it's perfect for a newbie like me.
Panfish magnets and trout magnets do well in the creeks around here too. You have to have a pretty light set up to be able to cast them though. The thing I like about the magnets and in-line spinners in creeks is you never know what’s going to hit them. Everything from bluegill to bass will hit both style lures in the creeks around here.
Thats about all i do is creek fishing. Not many lakes or ponds around me... rock bass and small mouths are fun to catch. Sometimes carp fish and catch almost 3 footers.
Dude I had to pause this video and say.....I really like your videos, I've only watched 2 of them so far (first being the basic must have's). I like how you have so much information and you get to the point with no bullshit. Man keep up the great work

Thank you! Best of luck fishing!
Thank you so much! My son wants to go fishing in the creek near our house and I have 0 experience so this saved my butt.
Fellow Missourian here. Just saw a fair bit of rain in the St Louis area these past few days and I'm going fishing for the first time tomorrow. Just happened to find your channel looking for some last minute tips. Very informative videos! Keep up the great work!
I've been using a Shakespeare Ugly Stik GX2 ultralight spinning rod and reel combo. Bought at Cabela's for about $40. I've got spooled with Trilene XL 4 lb mono low vis green line. Best setup for creek fishing so far. I've been using a standard Zebco 33 spincast combo for a few years now for creek fishing and all purpose use. It has 10 lb mono line, but you can't really feel the smaller fish bite. My new ultra light setup is a breeze. You can feel every single bite and you can also feel the line dragging along the bottom. The rod is that sensitive. I've just been using live worms. Redworms and nightcrawlers really do the trick. I'll experiment more on soft lures, crankbaits, and rooster tails soon, maybe this spring or summer.
Thanks Zach! Awesome info!
Live in Missouri. Thanks. Bought 30 fish in 1 hour

Awesome video dude…
I’m gonna do a similar video, I’ll be in the back waters of the Cumberland River, been fishing the same spots for 30 years now. We use a minnow sang in the river to get mostly grampus (helgramites) and they slay all types of fish..also use creek chub minnows and craw dads. We never use worms! We also take small lures like rooster tails, small flukes and rattle traps! I like to use only the grampus tho, you can catch 2 or 3 fish on one grampus and you can get a bucket full in a short time! Those live grampus will catch all types of bass, war mouth(red eyes) and bluegills! Your arm will be sore due to the amount of fish you’ll catch! Can’t wait to show everyone!
Those small Rebel crankbaits are very successful can hook a bream or bass with it. I used an orange rooster tail and since backwoods creeks are ideal for fish habitat they are the best place to go if big lake, pond, reservoir is turning out nada. It usually takes some minor hiking to find those honey locations but well worth the while. I'll walk up to my spot very quietly cast the rooster tail and I can't remember how many first cast catches I got, its the ones after that I think the fish know about and leave the area.
Goat 🐐
I need to go to mardens and get some incredibly cheap fishing gear.
Hey Zack, I'm going fishing on Friday at a small lake that is stocked with brook trout and some other types. I'm new to fishing, any tips? And thanks for the tip about Google Maps, I've been dying to go fishing and catch my first fish!
Nice. Which telescopic rod u recommend. I have Kastking Blackhawk to and i love it👍🏼
No dislikes wow great job
I watched this video when i just started creek fishing now i can get 18 inch trout reguarly.
For creek fishing can you still use those tall bobbers? I’m new to fishing and I recently got one of those.
So has anyone tried surface popping frogs in creeks/ponds, I'm curious to see others experiences
can u do a crappie catch and cook
What brand shoes ? Ty
What size inline spinners?
🙏🙏
Thank you value brand Tom Holland , very helpful
Creek fishing is about as fun as it gets in my opinion. You just never know what fish/creatures you'll come across. Often times you'll find good bait fish as well as tackle or lures.
Are crocs fine ?
