As the seasons progressed, the stress of everything with her parents always hurting her and trying to control her, the adultery (she loved him, but she hated what it made her), her love for Jake always felt like a betrayal to Fitz, but she needed something or someone for herself (the loneliness and just knowing the man you love is with someone else physically whether mentally or not is hard), her love for the Law and the country, her business and gladiators. It was becoming way too much to bear. Also, she was very promiscuous. I mean she is on the phone with the president and trying to save Jake, and nurture Russell. All who she has slept with. It is insane the shit she had to shoulder, some brought on by herself, others just from being Olivia Pope.
