Kerry and Tony to the rescue once again, the way they bring life to Olivia and Fitz is wonderful. Kudos to the director Tom Verica also. This scene is perfection.When Olivia says "Hi" and poor Fitz can't believe his eyes and Olivia nods her head as if to say it's really me - I was gone! Here comes the sun indeed. Scandal was built on Olitz and the ratings plunge have proved it. Olitz is life.

J.L Jones , AMEN and AMEN!!! Kerry Washington and Tony Goldwyn are the only reason I tune into Scandal. Two amazing actors - indeed! When they decided to take the show in another direction these past two seasons, it was all over the place. I'm hoping next season they have Olivia and Fitz facing their challenges together as a team. In Vermont they decided "no more lies". Liv decided in the finale that she is "is owed and it taking what she feels belongs to her" By his own admission in the Rose Garden, Fitz said to her "I belong to you" I don't want her to try to convince Fitz to return to Mellie. I'm hoping Olitz are a team is season 5, like he tried to be with Mellie in season 4. I want Fitz to get a divorce and then they can date publicly leading up to a BIG wedding day.... There is HOPE!

After he says Hi his eyebrows raise right on the ding in the music lol obviously I've watched this too many times and yet not enough. This scene just saved Scandal! I LOVE me some Olitz!

I still can't believe this actually happened. I've had a goofy smile on my face since Thursday night. What a wonderful and unexpected surprise for the finale. Olitz are back and all is right with the world! Aaahhhh!

Jo, Thank you again for putting this together so quickly. I am so happy they decided to end season 4 this way. I love how they chose the "Here comes the sun" song showing Olivia chose to stand in the sun with Fitz!!! Hooray!!!!

Yve Yve Absolutely. We had to wait sooooooooo long. I was thrilled, but nervous because you know the writers are constantly tearing our babies apart.

When I first saw this scene I was following along on twitter and dropped my phone on the coffee table so hard it nearly cracked the screen. lucky for me it did not break but I was literally in awe when I heard her say nice view, I was thinknng he must be dreaming. I am so happy for Liv and glad that she finally stepped up and claimed what was hers!

I'am so happy I have replayed this over and over again olitz is why I watch this show this something everyone of us wanted this that passion between them is explosive They both are so happy u can see it in there eyes finally they can be together i'am going to watch olitz from the beginning and end it with this scene I know it is little crazy but I just love this couple so much be happy gang can't wait to season 5

Here comes the sun....it's been a long and cold winter indeed!

After he puts the glass down and walks over to her and stops, she starts kissing him ... he raises his arm slowly to her face ... people that is foreplay in motion. The sun is coming and so is the moon and the stars ..........

This final scene made me all giddy, initially when Fitz first walked out onto the balcony I was really scared that he would get shot, my heart was beating so hard, but I was so relieved when I heard Olivia's voice! Lol. I love Jake and props to him for finally telling Olivia to go for it, because in all honesty she will never love another like she does Fitz, no matter how hard she tries! Theirs is one epic, all consuming love. One without the other is incomplete, he honestly loves her more than anyone or anything in the world and he can't live without her, that's been proven (going to war for her, trying to commit suicide when he thought she left for good, still wanting to be with her despite Rowan killing his son). I know the sun is an Olake thing, but I think the meaning behind this song choice was that for Olivia, Fitz was always her sun, her truth, that one thing no matter how much she tried, she couldn't run from and in the end she didn't want to run away from it anymore. It was a divine scene, I had a massive grin on my face the whole time I was watching it, the way he looks at her is truly magical, and that kiss wow. After all that's happened between them it would be a travesty if they didn't get together! It's going to be a very long summer...

Fatima Sy Me and a friend of mine were actually having mini heart attacks lol. I thought he was going to get shot for sure! He's already tried to kill himself once before when she left, so it's also possible he could have attempted it again, not knowing she was actually at the white house! Either way I'm just glad nothing bad happened to him, I honestly wouldn't feel like watching the show anymore had Fitz died!

I haven't watched Scandal all season but my husband told me I should watch the finale without giving anything away. It was great, I see SR finally made the scene that we all expected 2 Summer's ago and I enjoyed seeing Cyrus fired, Fitz should have done that a long time ago.

That smile that he is wearing on his face we haven't seen it in a long time. Like when they were in the oval and he tries to kiss her and she points up and says the cameras, and he says I dont care. He seems contented and relaxed almost as if he doesn't care what happens. The same way he was when he let the clock run out in Liv's apartment. He just dont give a damn what happens now. lol

What a beautiful moment in time ...

I had major issues with the entire season of Scandal including the finale and this scene. But reading the joy expressed by Team Olitz here still makes me smile.

Painful, Difficult, Devastating, Life Changing, Extraordinary Love - all lead to this moment for OLITZ!! I am okay for the summer and excited for season 5.

I was as shocked as Fitz lol...I was scared to believe it was real...I thought she was gonna disappear as soon as Fitz tried to kiss her so I almost didn't enjoy it til I rewatched it lool...Nope,didn't wanna be disappointed lmao...Olivia was dominating it this time...She BETTER!

I cannot watch that angry scene either. The way she threw the ring at him made me both cried and embarrassed. I always fast forward when I get to it.

When Fitz is kissing Olivia, he always put his hand on her face so he can bring her as close as possible and with his hand there he can really lay a kiss on her.

Thank you so much for this clip!! I'm tearing up over this ... It's been a long time coming; 2 long drawn out seasons! It's like finally...All the time and energy invested in Olitz was not in vain!!! I'm in complete shock, like did this really happen?!!!! It did! I really happened!!! Now our baby's can finally be happy, they will be able to genuinely smile, embrace, and comfort each other!! Olitz will finally stand in the sun, in their truth, together!! *sigh*

You know I have read some comments about how they did not like the ending or the season final. Well I say two each his own, I loved it it was a breath of fresh air and the song was very fitting to the occasion. Some folks still wanted the BANG BANG BOOM BOOM kind of ending but I feel this was two people being able to finely exhale in the arms of the one that they love. And also I see a lot of cliffhangers for Season 5 and it is going to be a blast!!!

Back from my Scandal Hiatus!!! The cast table read today and we got the beautiful Olitz selfie thanks to Kerry. Hearing rumors that Olitz will spend some time at Camp David in 501. Love seeing the cast pictures on twitter and instagram. Oh...and SF is balding and aging faster than Tony. And water is wet. What else is new. Olitz forever!! :)

Mmmmm so glad to see my baby Honey Fitz happy.

I watched the extended version of 422. The Olitz phone conversation was about 30 seconds longer. A few things was added that I noticed from watching back in May. The ending was exactly the same. Nothing changed. Quinn, Huck, and Charlie in the morgue was added and that is when Quinn figured out Huck was guilty of killing those 17 jurors. Overall, the extended version didn't add more to the episode in context. I can't wait to see 501. Olitz together "at last".

I liked the extended phone call, Fitz knew something was up with Liv. And the " I know we're not ......" line, shows his acceptance of their situation, & him being at peace with it. Huge growth for Fitz 😍

TheShipperfan It was so brief and it should have not been cut. Amazing work by KW and TG. I don't know any other actors who have so much chemistry over a phone call. Brilliant. Yes, Fitz has grown so much towards the end of the season. He wasn't going to pressure Olivia. She willingly returned to him and followed her heart finally.

Jo Magueijo, Again, thank you for the wonderful quality and clear presentation. I have no idea how much time and effort it takes, but if it is possible, would you put a video together of the last 8 minutes of the season finale leading up to this climatic ending. Starting with Fitz kicking Mellie out and firing Cyrus, then Jake acknowledging Liv is in love with Fitz and him saying Olivia is owed, and to take what belongs to her, then Fitz going to her apartment. Finally Fitz's lonely walk down the hall leading to this wonderful ending. I WOULD LOVE TO SEE IT ALL TOGETHER!. I understand if it is not possible, or its something you don't have time or even want to do, but I would love to see these scenes done by your quality workmanship. And to be completely honest, l would really love to see the whole telephone conversation Fitz and Oliva had in the beginning. From the season 4 finale, that footage totaling approximately 10 minutes, is all I want to see. I could care less about B613 and the other stuff going on. Thanks again...

Season 5 better pick off where S4 left off! Because...reasons LOL I want to see Olitz christening each and every inch of that presidential bed! But Mellie lay I there before, eeew ok maybe flight out to Camp David or Vermont (is the house decorated yet?? It was in her dream, but again- that was a dream sooo) camp David it is. I need then to explode with intense desire, yearning and love. I want to see Fitz going in hard, so she can properly know who the fucking boss is!! Russell who?? Omg Jake who???? Bitch lol I need to see Fitz letting her know what's up! With his big body, arms, voice, thrusts (yea I said thrusts lol) and most of all HIS LOVE!! You gotta keep in mind Jake came in the picture to come between Fitz and Olivia. Olivia used it to her advantage because while Fitz is married and president she can't be his public whore (her words) so she used Jake as a beard. The problem is Jake ended up falling in love with Olivia but she never loved him. She will always be in love with Fitz.

I just googled MerDer cos I used to watch Greys when it started but I stopped watching the will they won't they in that. Mad dream scenes in that & I couldn't watch anymore. It was end of S4 when Mer did the big gesture & they got back together permanently. So the writing was kind of on the wall, it's Shonda's MO, lol. I'm glad I watched all but a few eps S4 so I could catch up & watch the payoff I & many others have been waiting so long for. It was nearly too late for me. I wouldn't have been back nxt season with no Olitz. I totally understand lots of ppl don't like them as a couple but it is one of the main reasons I watch. Along with Liv being badass! Looking forward to s5 now & their bumpy, rocky, emotional but bloody fab partnership. She's written them apart it's time to write them together, finally moving forward.

But then my dismay gave in to elation as she proved herself to be real..here is how I want scandal to continue..season 5 with lots of Vermont and at the end a few glitches..season 6 a couple more glitches and finally season 7 with them married..two babies one looking like olivia with full lips and the other with a mop of hair like Tony's..mellie and the others gone forever..have I said enough? Too much to ask?

Well season 5 was a beautiful mess. They were together for 9 episodes and then she got an abortion and moved out of the white house. She slept with Jake afterwards and Fitz had multiple women in his bed but rest assured they both still love each other. Season 6 at the end got back together though

Okay everybody or GLADIATORS am putting my two sense in. Season 4 nearly kill me because both Fitz & Olivia were not together. One the walk pass each other and the hand jester and that one damn kiss that Fitz ask her to give him that was all! If Olivia went with Jake again there would have been hell to pay on that one. Season 3 we all know that Kerry was pregnant in real life that change how they were going to do Season 3 I understand that. But in Season 2 the TV guide, Entertainment and other magazine did the cover shots I love between Fritz(Tony) & Olive(Kerry). This is were I believe Season 5 is going to pick up were they left off at their CHEMISTRY and we will see Fitz saying "Kiss my Ass" and keep stepping and having Olive by his side. And Yes when he was on the balcony after he went to her place and she was not there. I was SCARE for a moment until I hear her voice and then "HALLELUJAN, HALLELUJAN! Am just saying. Shonda took it and gave it back. I'm so happy with the ending. Olitz is back. Now I can't wait tell season 5, to see how it works out.

I was cheering for Jake darn it. Kerry is getting to skinny. Still enjoy the show can't wait next season.

They are going to break up and she will marry jake . Fitz has killed 129 people on a plane for liv dad they were innocent but he never told liv that at least jake admit his crime and Fitz killed Velma at least jake said I am so sorry and laying right by him hugging him . Fitz always dumps liv at least jake actually loves her . Fitz says he does if he does he would have not dumped he all the time and go running back to Mellie . Fitz is a coward
