This scene is so funny. He told her to be quiet so he could kiss her, she told him she was marrying Edison so he stop kissing her, he said no you’re not with the quickness, lol. She told him he’s married as if he hasnt been married the other countless intimate times they’ve had. She keeps explaining why he needs to let her go in so many words, he follows up with why he doesn’t. He tells her to wait for him to get divorced, kisses her more, and she completely changes her tone 😂😂😂 from marrying Edison to saying she’ll think about waiting for Fitz. And yes I’m bored before you judge me lol.

They got together season 5 but it didn't last. They got back together season 6 at the end of his presidency. He left for Vermont came back then later got back together. They are endgame for sure

I just so miss "this Olivia" and I so hate how Shonda and the other writers have totally twisted her character into a monster. But most of all, how she took Olivia and Fitz and just spit on "us" the fans after waiting 5 seasons for them to be together to just slap us with this "new, ugly, twisted Olivia" that has destroyed Olitz relationship and fans". Maybe the reset button has been started for them, but look at the cost...

Well she was kidnapped so that PTSD changed her world. Her father killed the man she loved son, one of her gladiators, Harrison, that man almost died, her mother killed innocent people that she thought was dead and was the headline of being the president's mistress. That's alot to deal with. No wonder she went dark

I don't understand why so many are willing to forgive Olitz their sins (including murder and election rigging, just to name a couple) but every gets all upset about Mellie manipulating Fitz and being hungry for power. I blame Cy for planting that damn seed. When she was raped, she was fucking UNDONE. And in the place of that trauma, her mission became to get her Fitz and herself in that goddamn White House. Prove his horrible father wrong, and triumph with her husband. And THEN she bore a rape baby, and THEN Fitz abandoned her. What did she have left? The White House and her schemes. She's alone, broken, and desperate. She's hurt. All she has left is her mind, and her determination. Hell yeah she's fighting to keep her position as FLOTUS, and protecting her future political career. I LOVE Olitz, but if I were Mellie, after ALL OF THAT, I'd be like "F*ck you shitheads, this is war!" too.

I'm aware that this is a television show and not reality (a fact some fans seem to ignore, judging by their ever-persistent theories about KW &TG's "real life love"). I completely disagree with you about Mellie being a "one-way" street, and as you point out, that is my prerogative. What I BELIEVE is that she is as complicated and nuanced a character as everyone else in Shonda's universe. What the actors (and Shonda herself) say over and over again is that these characters are never ALL BAD or ALL GOOD. They're humans, which means they have layers and their motivations are almost never black &white. Fitz is a murderer. Yet we forgive him. Why is there no forgiveness for Mellie? She's defending herself tooth and nail, and as a woman who has sacrificed so much (yes, in the beginning, for herself AND her husband/family), to then be so completely rejected and humiliated by her husband's affair, I cannot say what I would do with such pain. What I'm saying is that I see past the surface of her actions, and I try to place myself in her shoes, and if the pain this character feels is half as much I imagine I'd feel in the same situation, then, no, I could never hate Mellie's character.

All I said was that I have found empathy, and I argue for her, rather than against her. I didn't need you to reinforce your opinion, but you seem unable to resist lecturing me about mine. Like I said before (another thing you keep bringing up, as if it's NOT a given), I understand the difference between fantasy and reality, thanks. I mean...you say you get to embrace murders in a fantasy, yet your frown on embracing the schemer (Mellie) in the same breath. No no no Olivia was never the side chick never a mistress. Fitz was married to the wrong woman for years. It was an arranged marriage by his father. Olivia is the only woman he has ever loved in his life. He's never felt that and don't wanna lose her. Him being president is what's keeping him from being with her
