The Fitz, Olivia, & Jake love triangle sort of reminded me, albeit different but the same situation occurred, as on Charmed when Phoebe had given up on love & 'we the viewers' had no idea that Drake's showing up to teach at Magic School & fell for Phoebe only to find out at the end that when Drake died yet before his soul moved on, he tells Cole how hard he fell for Phoebe & Cole, who still loves her despite his being in limbo or wherever he's at, isn't angry or anything considering he thanked Drake for showing Phoebe that her love life wasn't over but he also said that falling in love with Phoebe wasn't difficult b/c of who she was, what her heart could hold if she would only open it (plus he felt responsible for her having closed herself off to love), and let someone in. Olivia sort of keeps everyone at arms length, even with Jake but most importantly when it related to Jake & Fitz. She loved them both but as we all know, Fitz will always have her heart even though he's married to the First Lady Millie and Millie knows she's not the love of Fitz' life yet continues to tolerate or accept, whichever is best describable, to let Olivia into Fitz' bed b/c he is a better President with Olivia in his life & he doesn't what he should do and not what the polls say he should do. (polls are so unreliable anyhow and there's a large sect that flip-flops constantly so you never truly know what they want b/c they keep changing their minds when the truth of what we need should remain the focus. (ie. National Healthcare since we are guaranteed LIFE, Liberty, & THE PURSUIT OF HAPPINESS (It won't happen w/working adults unable seek out medical care for pay for life-saving medications to prevent disabling conditions, thus lessening the workforce, esp when if the health issue was caught sooner & treated, the person could have worked for many years, possibly even retirement!) whether all the states want to take it or not!; better education that starts with both good & bad moral members of those communities so they can talk sense into the kids as well as the adults and opening the doors to whatever community building is available to tutor students and even teach parents because the more educated a parent can be then the more educated a child will be and with more educated children the changes that must take place if this country is to survive will have to happen along with putting the bulk of budget money somewhere other than in ways to kill everyone on the globe just because they happen to piss someone off! Who truly wants another Sarah Palin's possible finger on the launch button with codes in hand? I know I don't - McCain either! And that goes for any other Bush/Shrubs that happen to shake from the family tree!)

Olivia never loved Jake. She has only loved one man and that's Fitzgerald Grant. Jake she considers family because her father sent him to come between Fitz and Olivia but the problem with that is he could never succeed with that. Olivia was Jake mission but he ended up falling in love with Olivia but she never returned the feelings. She used how he felt for her to her advantage. In the end Jake ended up in prison and Olivia and Fitz are the endgame
