Que raro, mì Mama nos enseño en coser la cascara, dejarlo en friar, picar el camaròn en pedazos grandes, o sea 2 a 4 pedazos, segùn el tamaño de camaròn. Picar Salsa como para Salsa Fresca. Separar la Salsa en refri. Agregar el caldito de Camaròn con Camaròn (pedazos y enteros) agregar jugo de limòn, sal/pimienta y dejar que el limòn cose el camaròn unas horas. Luego agregar Salsa, Catsup, especias al gusto, y preparar para servir y gozar....Buen Provecho! "Isa"

Mexican guy here, in Mexico we don't make tortillas at home because there are tortilla shops everywhere, so we buy them fresh. The only time we make tortillas is when we move abroad. The tortillas we find at grocery stores abroad taste like shit (Why do they add so many artificial ingredients?)
The title makes me laugh. In our family, if something is especially good, we call it poison or ask "so, is it poison?" We have some good cooks in our house so saying it's delicious gets a bit redundant.

I’ve made caramel pecan pie a few times with my homemade caramel, but I just discovered dulce de leche, so I think I’ll try it with that instead. Thanks for the recipe!

Jalisco is definitely changing & accomdating the Tourist. My Papà's familia is from Jalisco, starting in Santa Rosalia then moving to Guadalajara. Anywho, the original version that I grew up with ftom Jalisco to L.A. to Upper high 🏜, ranch area's, still use original version with Chivo or Borrego/Cabrito. Plus I agree with another commenter, Consume is the old version in making Birria. The broth/consume is soo sabroso & very healthy. For tacos or quesaBirria, the meat is allow to drain abit before either adding màs Salsa over Birria in a skillet n then transferred to a tortilla con queso on a comal. Adding of course condiments in QuesaBirria. 😊 "Isa"

Hmmm, oja de platano/banana leaf truly adds a very distinctive sabor to any dish. Personally, Tamales made with oja de platano is my yum choice. Buen Provecho! Peace be with us all 🙏. "Isa"
Personally, cuando/WHEN I can't find Epazote, I use marjoram....it truly does help add sabor. 😊 "Isa"
Hmmmm que rico! Just so you know lovely ppl, the Salsa Roja is really a basic Salsa(w/out orange rind) that IF you like Mole &/or Enchiladas you just add or switch some different dry Chiles, or use these that Pati is using. For Mole, add roasted almonds, abit of oregano, Chicken or Beef Bullion or even fresh poultry, beef or veggie broth, 1 roasted tomate, blend, simmer n add peanut butter, Mexican chocolate disc & simmer on low, stirring so Chocolate n peanut butter will blend beautifully n so "sabroso"(@ 30mins) add choice of meat or papas/potato n simmer covered for 20-30mins. the tacos look beautiful and the salsa sounds delicious but wouldn't this be better with a fattier cut of pork? I would imagine pork loin would get very dry over this long cooking time
