Pati Jinich - Yucatán’s “League of their Own”
Pati finds Yucatán’s “league of their own” story in Yaxunah. She meets the Amazonas, a softball team made up entirely of Mayan women, for their morning practice. Afterwards, over a traditional meal of Brazo de Reina tamales, they talk about how the team is helping overcome outdated ideas about gender roles in the town.

This was absolutely delightful to see I like how their uniforms are pretty dresses, but they are all about the sport.
The banana leaves do really give the tamales a delicious flavor. Pati is also a real athlete!
