I'm, 52 now. In 1980, my dad bought a 1971 Dodge Charger RT 440, from Community Chevrolet, in Maysville, N.C. He paid $300.00 for it. Single stage enamel paint "I, assume" was chalky. He, spent a day waxing it. Good old, 80's Turtle wax. It was, a reddish orange color. Looked, AWSOME! I, was completely in love with the car, @ 9 years old. Dad, discovered a rear main seal leak. He said, "I'm, selling this P.O.S.! I said no, why?! He said, "I'd, rather have a car that burns oil, than one that leaks oil"! What a character, he was!😊

Mike should put a Ford motah in the car. That would really upset the Mopar purists.

It'd be fun to see this at Southeast Street-N-Yeet in November since it's the first real street-style build on the channel.

Why not mount the fuel cell back and down towards the engine and then put that huge turbo directly where the fuel cell is now?? I'm not a race car builder but it makes sense you would want the turbo upfront getting clean & cold as possible air..

Wouldn’t be a turbo John car without the 1980s blue and red AN fittings . Hoping Randy was getting him some new black fittings

  • @bendaves77

Billy Hoskinson showed awhile back a new company he's getting all his fittings from and hose.. they're definitely nicer than anything that is sold in the big racing stores.. the company was red horse and they make some high quality fittings

You need to have better people around your program . All this stupidity about a fuel tank in a bad place anyway. Fuel high ! Look at any fuel car from the 60 's ! Tanks come last . Sorry to be negative but do some homework.

OK I've had this idea for a while.. You know how cars fill up with tire smoke after a burn out. Now tonight you said you have to put the tranny cooler on tonight back there some where. Well mount it thru the floor so it sucks the air out of the cab. and will desmoke your car for ya ...

Would moving the fuel cell not b easier than having to keep cutting the headers. Looks like moving the fuel cell would let u move the turbo more front and center and give u room to make the merge.

That tight bend radius is going to have a hell of a hot spot on it. Move the fuel cell. In a build like that it will be worth it in the long run and the asthetics. 4 steps back lol
