118mm Turbo is HUGE..... TurboJohn Mustang is getting closer.... But more issues

Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары

Back at it again guys! Today is now Saturday, and if you have not seen Austin ‪@DRAGWIRESOLUTIONS‬ seems to work everyday.....lol So I headed down to keep working on the Mustang to get it closer to running. This 118mm turbo is a monster and seems to weigh about 50lbs, so keeping it as far rearward as possible is the plan. But making it all work together is somewhat challenging and with any new build, making it all work together takes time..... We still have a lot to do!

I’d redo the fuel cell and center mount the turbo. Wayy easier on the piping. I don’t see it having room to make those turns with large diameter piping

Wish I would have read the comment before leaving my comment because I'm no builder but it makes sense to me to move the fuel cell back and down then put the turbo in the location of the fuel cell..that turbo is heavy and it would be alright to have it up front getting clean air

@@bigboreracing356 And where are you a threat at? As usual you got something stupid to say, but here right away to watch. You always gotta show your jealousy somewhere. I been in drag racing my who life and wet sump priority main oiling is just fine. I have a procharger f3-121 bbc that ran just fine on wet sump season after season. John also said he's gonna be getting shaft rockers. And he check all of his clearance. For what he does his stuff is pretty dependable.

@bigboreracing356 Listen, I'm far from triggered. I said something because the only comments I've ever seen from you are negative, like someone who is jealous. You talk about those rod journals. He spoke on that deal, lol. I guess what he's shown and talked about when it comes to clearances is just for the hell of it. My engine machine shop Scotty PAR Racing Engines has no issue running bbc priority main oiling at 2500 hp, and my old machine shop when I lived up north Steve Morris run the same oil on them engines no problem.

I like the turbo on the passenger side. It’s going to even the weight out with driver side and because it’s in the front it will make the front left(driver) lift up. Take the turbo lift it up a little, also maybe make the pipes equal length or at least run the passenger side header hot side out a little for some balance.

Hey John, I have a LS, running my feed line to turbo, above my oil filter. I have a Moroso pan with a billet adapter for the filter to mount in stock spot. Would it benefit if I added a filter? I have to shorten my 1st feed, to put the inline oil pressure regulator that José recommended I run, as 20w50 with a 100psi relief spring, high vol./pressure Melling pump. I'm not sure how much pressure it's going to make!
