Turbo Mustang Build! Boosted Big Block is getting closer.......BUT

Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары

Making progress on the new Mustang. But like anynew build, it is a very time consuming process and always takes more time than you thought it should. But over the past few days, progress is being made and the car is getting closer to being able to get to wiring. On this video, Mike and Scott get to work on the passenger side header and I make some progress figuring out the brake lines, and mounting the fuel cell. Next Saturday, the car has to be ready to go to wiring. Let's freaking go......

In the future if you go hard lines, order you some tube sleeves and tube nuts. Makes the job look clean and you don't have to double flare.. Happy Father's Day, John! Car's looking great and you deserve it more than anyone!!

Shouldn't those be steel lines? Copper is too soft, not safe.

@@user-vc2mo2gj4xIt's not copper, it's a blend that has enough copper in it to make it easier to work with. Y'all need to give TJ some credit, he's been doing this a long time. I see a lot of people that don't even have racecars in these comments trying to criticize something they know nothing about! It blows my mind

I hate to sound like a *"Fan Boy"* but I am super excited to see the new car in the @TurboJohn pit! This new chassis setup (plus the new BBC) will 100% change your program! You've earned it... You've been super competitive with a Sub-par Car for years... now, your are Leveling the playing field with some of these top players! (Isaac Preston, Ryan Mitchell, Beaterbomb, etc)

Hey John, Happy Fathers Day. Order up some flare nuts and you wont have to double flare the metal line, makes life so much easier plus the hard line is cheaper. I have to argue with some of the comments about braided lines cause spongy pedal feel, seen many cars with 2’ off the master to the left front wheel and 6’+ to right front wheel, hard line to the rear with a long braided line to the diff and braided to the calipers…..those cars will throw you into the dash when you tap the brakes BUT they do have aggressive brake pads like im sure those TBMs are. Cheap pads will be spongy for several thousand miles but race pads have a lot higher coefficient of friction therefore reducing pedal effort in itself, my road race brakes with stock ford brake rubber hoses my pedal moves about 2” from free roll to 4 wheel lock so i cant imagine having braided that doesnt swell under pressure like rubber does

Glad you stepped away from the Saturn, didn't know mustang was this close for you to start personally working on, so there was no down time. Don't cut any corners, take your time, you've worked hard and deserve a very nice car. For a color how about a root beer, something like Paige coughlin car. Good luck

Yet another person that doesn't even have a racecar blasting out misinformation!! JamesDavis that's really weird because it seems like my single turbo car put twin turbo cars on the trailer every week!! TT cars will normally spool faster but then you have double the complexity, double the cost, and you have to carry TWO turbos around instead of one.. No thanks
