Len you spoil your boys building them a wave wall/shelter, much better to harden them up in good old mother nature, out in the open cleaning fish and baiting hooks! 🙂
Haha! Who said it’s for them. 😆
I do like all the thought and planning that is being put into the repair of that boat you guys are jam up no dough about it. Y'all stay safe and healthy say hi to the rest of the family for me please. We'll see ya on the next video bye bye.
Question: Considering all the endless hours you spend on this boat as well as the material you put in - in retrospect, would a new boat not have been cheaper ? Besides that, keep on going with your great work and videos
Good fren
😊😊😊😊😊
Niceeeeee
Let's go fishing dang!
Analog gauges are best on a boat, you could always tee into systems for digital. Don't you have a gen set for AC besides shore power? Where is the breakers for that going to be? I know the freezer unit is AC powered and those deck lights, so just curious how that is going to be addressed. Looking great guys, you should be fishing or are these older footage.
Hi Rob. Yes, we do have a genset. It is 30kw three phase, so plenty of power for the new freezer and everything else on the vessel. The breaker panel is in the engine room. We will get an engine room update and walk around soon.
Really looking great but can we go fishing now huh can we pleeeeease😂
Great video. Thanks for shring. Are you keeping the steering wheel on?
If the don’t keep the wheel, they can’t call it the wheel house. 😅😂🤣😂😅🤣
Another great video Thanks.
She's coming together nicely and it's great to see how well yall work as a team! Thanks for sharing!! God bless y'all
Things are looking great guys!
Dang guys are you ever going back to fishing I’ll watch again when you do.
again great job love what your doing
I was away for a while but I’m back still loving you guys ❤
Good Afternoon. It has been STUPID HOT all week here 90plus. This heat wave is supposed to last all next week . YUCK. Curious do you have a running "to Do List" and if so what volume are you on???? LOL Because dang how you remember all those things through all you have done is amazing!
I'm sure they have a "list" but it grows faster than they can whittle it down. 🙂
Awesome install video - you make it look so easy! Thanks for sharing and tight lines! Captain Zac
Greed, unlike fishing, is NOT at all sustainable. As long as you allow KZread to assault your loyal viewers with 17,20,30,50+ second addsI will be disliking all your videos and your response comments. I have been with you since your very first post on KZread and I really enjoy and love your family and content. That is why it is so wrong to attempt to extract every penny by way of the use of my time and your viewers time. We understand monetization is important for you. I'm merely asking to adjust the balance a bit. I want to rebinge watch your videos but the add time is too much. You guys are awesome!!!! Please keep the awesome content and family fun coming. I look forward to every video you post. Love you guys!!!
We do appreciate the comment, feedback, and of course our loyal viewers! We don't typically mess with ad placement much, KZread picks natural breaks in dialogue or action to pick ad placement, to do so manually would take quite some effort. We don't control duration of ads whatsoever. We do make sure videos aren't "overloaded" with ad breaks. Again, thanks for the comment, we appreciate your support!
@EISAlaska I know KZread has most of the control. Just you responding so quickly is amazing and im grateful. I also know that you greatly appreciate us. You've shown that. Also, you guys have inspired my son and me. Hopefully we will be as successful. Hopefully we can work together as well as you guys.
Also, I apologize for being so brash. I've had my fill with KZread and their ever changing, complex rules. I kind of took it out on you and I'm sorry. I should have just asked instead of threaten. I'm so sorry. Love you guys!!!
@@Jjvv-m5s No worries! Best of luck to you and your son as well.
Great job 👍👍
Thank you! Cheers, Tony!
Great install!
Thanks, rk!
Just wondring, if you guys are working on boat all the time, are you doing any fishing. If your not fishing, how are you making money???
Maybe a clear piece of plexiglass with a piano hinge on one side so you could see tripped breakers and still provide inadvertent switch bumping.
We tried to purposely bump some of them off after install, you have to get way up in there to click them off. The inset is pretty far in to prevent it. If we do find that they still get bumped, the plexi on hinge is a great idea! Thanks for the comment Alex!
Breaker/toggle # 1= heated helm
A couple small hinges and some thin plywood would make a panel cover to make it impossible to bump a breaker in bad weather. 2 dollars.
They are inset pretty far, we tried to "accidently" bump them off, and its very hard to do so. They are up and in far enough. If we do find it to be an issue though, we'll certainly add a see-thru cover to prevent it.
I’ve got a couple of Cummins-branded 8D batteries that I’ve had on my boat as spares… year old, never used. Anything you could use?
That's a very kind offer, jeverich. I think we're ok on batteries for the moment. The shipping would probably be pretty exorbitant unless you're here in Kodiak.
Looks great guys!
Thanks, tenny!
A good suggestion might be to put a piece of plexiglass over the front of your switch panel
We'll definitely do that if we find ourselves bumping them. We tried to "accidently" switch them off a few times, its pretty difficult with the inset.
Nice work guys! The advantages are accessibility, visibility, and safety. 👍💖
Absolutely! The gauges need to be front and center for sure.
Off topic of this vidoe but how often do you put shash weights
We clip sash weights on when we come up and down a sharp reef or edge. Helps with pulling the line down keeping it from "cloths lining" off the bottom.
@@EISAlaska thanks 👍
How often do you put the shash weights ?
Install a panel of hinged Plexiglass on the front to ensure that the breakers won't be accidentally tripped. Nifty thrifty workmanship guys.
Maybe you can add a sliding glass/polycarbonate outside the panel . To always be protected from bumping also but in case of dropping water or a coffee mug maybe etc .
I don't own anything mechanical, but I always check my fluid level every morning - especially coffee!
How about a clear sheet of polycarbonate 3mm thick over the switch panel, for more protection?
Good
More fishing please
for complete safety for all the board try a simple plexiglass sliding door with a finger hole to open & close
good job guys stay safe and healthy tell mom hi untill next video bye bye
YOU ARE AWSOME!!
Yeah lets go fishing
Form follows function i always say! y'all are so logical and have tons of common sense! kinda makes ya wonder what type of guy the previous owner was!! can't wait to see the wheelhouse completed! you'll be spoiled and have to redo the Fish Tale!!!
are you guys doing any more on your fishing?
My dad’s first boat sank because someone accidentally knocked the bilge pump switch to the off position and she was an old wood boat
Fitment and placement are really important. You mentioned they were also back lit. Back on the schooner Eldorado in the late 60's I run red lights for nighttime running on all my guages and panels. Having them accessible during an emergency is key. Glad you're trying to over think all scenarios. Love your channel might make a visit home in August or September.
Hello guys, can I suggest an open slot below the red main breaker , then the 20amp breaker below the gap. TY for the video's.
Excellent work as usual guys, thanks for another great video!
That switch panel job looks a good as you see on million dollar yachts!
Really good work guys. And I know the look on the old man's face when you are satisfied with your work. Then you just consider the work an extra time or two. Greetings from Misery Bay. Northern Denmark
good work guys
