I'm just starting, got all the cheap vevor TIG machine, the cheapest everything and I"m ready to try it out and these videos are by far the best! thank you for all the effort on making this available. Funny that you mentioned the protecting your skin. I tried my first weld the other day and my arms and hand were all sun burned in the evening and next day... I was wearing no gloves at all and show sleeve...."you learn your lesson" as you said.

That kind of work should be good for $2,500.00 USD per week. When can you start? I say that much because, everyone expects a raise after a year.

What scares me is I took ONE 7week welding 101 course in college recently and MY welds look better than some of those. Guess my instructor wasn’t just being kind when he said I was doing good!😂

If there's a possibility you're gonna burn through 12 gauge you probably shouldn't be welding that.

Well, I get what you’re saying on some of these.. my grandpa welded on the pipeline that runs natural gas from Texas to the East Coast in the 70s-80s. Sometimes his welds got less pretty as he got older but I would still take his welds over just about anyone else’s I had ever seen. Especially after seeing things that his welds survived.

I LOVE this, I know it's 6 years ago, but damn... I just love seeing experienced welders try something different. I'm from Norway and we use 7016 above all else here as well. And let me tell you... When I see Bob try something as spectacular as the 7016's we have here in Europe I just can't help but turn a smile. it's lovely, I've run alot of 7016's and the best ones I've come across is the ESAB 53.16 and the ELGA P47D. I have tried the UTP rods as well. and they are really good (My shop almost adopted those rods) My favourite by far is the ESAB 53.16
