It’s not a happy accident if an I beam weld breaks and the beam falls on someone 👀😂

My opinion, consistency is important, I don’t always weld and create projects that require certifications, but for cleaning up welds or not cleaning up and just getting painted, consistency will definitely make you more $$ and your customers/ clients will always return for more. 19years welding and still run beads on plate just for the extra hood time. Also dig the whole video idea! 👊🍻

This guy is so Mr. Rogers with his teaching style it's almost comical, but the funny thing is he is the EXACT opposite of my boss who taught me and I think I would of had a much easier time learning welding basics and become a much better welder.

Just curious why you think you need to do any kind of movement like your running a 6010 rod? I've seen several people do this on welding tests I've given at a couple places I've worked , the back and forth movement or even circles. Neither are required , and if your doing buildup work could be a disaster.

  • @zacharyepic7886

The circles and back and forth movement are for people that don’t know how to pace themselves without doing the circles and back and forth method. So they’re not going too fast with their travel speed.

In other words, getting an "A" grade for a crap weld makes for pretty paper, but it won't help you on the job. Don't go begging for a better grade. Beg for more time on the welder.
