Really well explained, love the series as it will help a lot on my journey as a non eu student. I have one question about the berufserlaubnis. When we get it, i know we cant work night shifts but is the main salary the same as the other assistentärzten or do we earn less than them for the 2 year period until we pass the kentnissprüfung?

Which are you talking about Finally, on your Swiss journey, it would be nice if you'd share your experience about expenses and savings on a doctor's salary as a resident and if possible, as a specialist. Thank so much for the partnership with MEDDEOnline ❤

Thank You for the story. Am still curious: So as I understood, You intubate/laryngiate next patient while current operation is still ongoing ? And do You have to plece periphercal iv lines yourself, or nurse does it ? And how competetive is anesthesia compared to other specialities ?
@EutopianDoctor2 ай бұрын
Correct, the next patient is usually sent to get started about 30 minutes before the end of the previous operation when it’s clear that the operation is finishing. Who does what depends on the team, hospital, operation, etc. generally you divide the tasks between all of of the team members so you are more efficient, faster and everyone does something

It’s common that contracts only last 1 year and that you are forced to contact many many hospitals and try to „patch“ the empty time. It is what it is, we all have to try to plan ahead. That’s why it’s common to apply 3 years in advance

Very nice video! How many hours do you work per week? Is it more than what you were used to in Germany?
@EutopianDoctor2 ай бұрын
Minimum 50. In germany I would do maybe more hours because in German the 24h shifts are common and getting a Saturday shift would guarantee a 64h week.
