Very well done.. I have a question.. I reached here in NRW few days back in march 2021. Nowadays classes are online.. I don't find online classes interesting at all.. I just want to ask can I prepare self for FSP.. if yes then how should I.. little bit more specific explanation or guidance for preparing self for FSP.. till now I studied almost eventhing self.. even German.. if you think.. thank you so much for this information! was the 3 months + 5 months preparation after you had already achieved the B2 level of general german language proficiency, or were you working on both your general german language skills and the FSP preparation at the same time during that 8 months period? ich wohnte in Deutschland als austausch student als ich 17 Jahre alt war, aber ich habe viele von mein Deutsch leider vergessen. ich frage mich ob ich ungefaehr 6 monate fuer die allgemeine Deutsche pruehfung studieren muesste, und dann 6 monate mehr fuer die FSP weiter studieren muesste, oder...? i would probably be fine with taking a year to prepare, i love learning and studying languages, i just need to get an idea of how much time to allow...gracias por todo lo que has hecho y publicado en youtube...,todo me ha ayudado mucho...que te vaya muy bien!!

Hey there :D I am happy to be helpful! I personally prepared for the exam just by doing many exam simulations with other colleagues and learning the theory. In my opinion there is no better preparation for the exam than the exam itself. But if I were to choose between just B2 and B2-C1 Medical I would go for the medical option. You are very welcome. I had to find out about everything by myself and I really wished I found some youtube video where everything is explained. So I made one :D A B2 is enough to be allowed to take the exam. I dont know if any B2 diploma accepted. Just to be safe, I would recommend getting it through Goethe's Institut. Viel erfolg!

But how can we be fluent in the german language, and naturally there are going to be grammatical mistakes,is that acceptable in the exam to some extent. We won't be able to improve our german until we work and for working we need to pass the exam. Please guide on this. thank you.

To some extent ;) and this extent is depends on the examiner. Some are nicer and some are tougher. You are right that is is very difficult to improve when not allowed to work. Remember that "working for free" or doing s so-called Hospitation is always a possibility, and you don't need an Aprobation for that

There is always one question I haven't gotten an answer to , does the FSP give you a license to become a resident?and what is the KP exam?

I believe it costs about 300 euros to get the papers done and another 300 euros for the exam

So, if you want to become Asistentarzt in Germany, first you need Goethe B2, than you send documents to hospitals and if they are interested in you, before start working there you need to pass FSP. Non EU doctors need after FSP to do Aprobation. Am i right? 😉 How long you spend working in hospital , before you get Aprobation exam?

You are correct. Non EU doctors will need to do eventually an additional theoretical exam before they can get the Approbation. In the meanwhile the get a temporal working permission. I don't know how long you can wait because I didn't have to go through it , sorry! Also, you can contact hospitals before doing fsp but I wouldn't worry about it. Germany needs doctors, finding a place is not very difficult.

Hi there! I can't promise you will pass from studying the cases. But I can say that I wouldn't have passed if I didn't study those examples again and again. On top of study I also recommend practicing with someone and making simulations of exam. About the language, if you just have a B2 level it will be difficult but not impossible. If you want to do a course I would go into the FSP c1 courses. Althought I didn't need it myself, I suppose it's very helpful. Have a nice day
