Update on a medical doctor's salary in Germany

So here is the salary of a medical resident in Germany in 2021. For context, I am a medical resident in Germany doing Anesthesia and am currently in my second year of the residency program.
Just in case I didn't explain it well enough allow me to clarify:
I get paid Neto (after taxes) about 4300 Euros totally. That means ground salary + nightshifts
Hope it clears some doubts :D

Hey, thank you sooo much for your videos, they are truly life saving ❤ I'm currently in my 6th year of medical school in Greece, but I'm 99% sure I'll apply for my residency in Germany. I'm currently trying to decide on a specialty (considering mostly Gynäkologie, then anesthesia and innere) it would be really helpful if you could make a video about the conditions in some fields in Germany, as well as which specialties are in demand and in which it will be really hard to find a position. Also if you have any idea on what they look for when they look at CVs it would be very nice. I know it's a lot to ask 😅 thank you very much again for all your help

What pulled you specifically to Germany and not France or England or Ireland etc. Also, what were the types of cases or Problems generally handed out (or at least the ones you faced) in the Fachsprachprüfung? Would be great if you could touch any of the above topics on your next video! A fan of what you've been doing! Great job and keep up the good work and keep uploading more of such informative videos! Hello There! I wanted to leave Spain because it is badly paid. When deciding where to go I considered all countries based on demand for doctors and payment and difficulty learning the Language. I discarded Ireland because the offer of Doctors was already equal or greater than demand. I discarded UK because it was leaving the EU. I picked Germany because it had overall a good salary, huge demand for doctors and other countries such as Switzerland and Austria also speak the language and also pay well. Other great choices to be considered were Sweden, Norway and Denmark

Im a recent Italian med in Germany preparing for the Goethe exam and still not sure which country... Besides the better pay, in Switzerland it seems I would need at least one year as Assistenzarzt before applying for residency? In Germany seems more straightforward, with more spots, and there are even agencies which help you with the application (do you know if they are worth it?) It would also be very nice to know the competitiveness of medical specialties in these countries, which I struggled to find anything reliable online. Cheers!

9000 euro gross for a doctor is really small salary. Look informations about 2014 Swiss doctors salaries! Getting around 300k-700k franks annual! And it was in 2014! So now it's somewhere around 500k-1million annual gross salary. These are specialists salaries, obviously not young resident doctors. AS RADIOLOGIST my friend getting around 800.000 CHF gross annual what is around 530.000 CHF net. So it's around 44.000 CHF net monthly salary what is around 42.000 Euro .
